Are men generally intimidated by strong-willed women?

I am curious about this. I've heard this from time-to-time and I wonder...if a gal has strong opinions on things...do some men find that intimidating? If so, why and what is the alternative?
If not, what is attractive about a woman who has her own ideas about things?

Are some men intimidated by that? I'm sure. But would you want a man who's intimidated by a strong-willed woman? hmmm

shake No way...but, it seems to be the way lately...

In your opinion, what is "hot" about an opinionated woman?

I agree smile
But, what could possibly be attractive about a woman who is not confident and who is uncomfortable in her own skin?

A vulnerable woman appeals to our animalistic instinct to protect so yes, that can be attractive too.

Did I walk right into your trap now? smile

I expected you to say "I knew it! You men just want us to be meek and submissive!" which, of course, would have been a complete misunderstanding of what I said. smile

Nooooo...I didn't think that at all. In fact, I agree with you...and I also have those vunerable times...but, women are very complex and aren't just one way. I've found that some men have difficulties handling the more "expressive" women.

I know a lot of guys do. It's usually the type of guys that don't understand women in general.

I'm wondering...why would they think women shouldn't have their own minds and ideas?

I am passionate about--and post about--a lot of different things in life. For some reason, it's my posts about women that people remember and judge me by.

It's unfortunate, but.... shrug

I don't think they're against women having their own ideas, I just think they don't know how to handle them.

Not enough females in their lives from an early age, society trying to convince them that only men make the decisions, influence from their mates at the pub....take your pick. shrug

I'm sure numerous men are intimidated by them. I think most men in general are intimidated strong-willed individuals outside of themselves. They just don't have the balls to gripe about it as they do with women that possess those characteristics. Personally speaking, I adore strong-willed women.

It's unfortunate when we're unable or unwilling to see, know and get to appreciate the person as a whole, nuanced being.
