PrintableI had much more alternative music than my husband, when we met. but we both love a lot of styles, blues, jazz, r&b, funk, rock.....you name it. we have everything from Little Milton to Nirvana to Dean Martin to the Gorillaz.

 That's mainly due to the fact that we hardly get to see each other during the week due to working opposite shifts. 
She never really did care for Prince, although I did get her to go to a show at Paisley Park one time back in '95.

I don't know what I like anymore either, it's the being a mum thing and everytime I try and put a CD on the kids complain until I turn it off. All they want to hear is Duran Duran or James Brown 
My husband listens to the radio in his car and that's about the extent of it. Sometimes when our paths cross we might talk about a song we heard - you know the one that goes like this  and we usually like the same songs. He likes Prince through me and liked Musicology much better than I did. | |

My boyfriend 's musical taste and mine are so much alike that I sometimes cannot believe it. And it's not that we are influencing one another, but we liked the same artists before we met (like Sananda/Terence Trent D'Arby, Prince) and since then found other artists we love like Beck, Outkast or The White Stripes and many more. When one of us likes a song or an artist in all likelihood the other one will love it as well  .With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be!
