your PARTNER's choice of MUSIC

my boyfriend likes to take naps on the couch whilst listening to his music.

right now he is playing an album by Los del Rio.

yes... that is right: the guys from the MACARENA did a whole fucking album.

omfg

he has such a different taste in music than i have. he likes Pet Shop Boys. i hate Neil Tennant.

i am glad he learned to respect Prince though, after seeing him live.

anywho...i still love him mushy after 6 years of horrible music wink. And actually the Los del Rio album is not that bad, just as long as the guys stick to traditional songs.

tell us about the musical taste of your partner.
yes SIR!

My wife likes some good stuff, but she also like a whole lot of what I consider to be crap. I just ignore most of it. I love her, even if she likes Kenny G.

All my girlfriends have had good taste in music to some extent. I remember an Irish girl I used to go out with only had 2 cds though; The Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and some British 'never been' girl group called Madison. Rather like chalk and cheese! It was music that brough us together though. She chatted me up in the student union because she thought I looked like Kelly Jones from the Stereophonics.

Over the years, my taste in music and my boyfriend's taste in music have melded some. I used to be so into dance music of all kinds - house, trance, techno, disco. For a while that must have been all I listened to, so I'm sure it was quite annoying. He didn't mind so much when I listened to older R&B and country. He likes the classics. He hid his annoyance quite well. He's always been into classic rock along the lines of Cream, Eric Clapton, The Beatles and others.

We used to have very few albums that we'd both listen to. I was shocked when he started to listen to Dummy by Portishead and shocked even more when he started to buy Sheryl Crow albums as they were released. I've also started to listen to some of his Hendrix albums as well as stuff like Boston giggle. He likes very few contemporary artists. But our tastes have each grown and expanded to the point where we often steal each other's music to listen to. I like it that way.

my bf likes opera and reeeallly old female blues/jazz vocalists.

"old" as in, he owns a victrola. lol

he doesn't really get into modern music at all. we have very different tastes in music, but i don't mind what he likes and he claims not to mind what i like, so we don't make each other crazy.

i, pretty much like any type of music. so it doesn't matter to me what they (if i had someone whistling ) listen to. however..there are a few things they better keep on the down-low if they are with me. and the 1st word against MADONNA or KYLIE, is automatic grounds for separation. hmph!

My last girlfriend was big into Nine Inch Nails. Great music for boff, but not something I'd listen to otherwise. I don't like music, anyway.

my boyfrind loves rap that i love, funk, soul, he loves r&b and french rap i hate. He's ok with raggae (a must), says he's not a fan of P. but sings, even if his english is worst than mine... We do sing all french songs, new or old, , songs of movies or cartoons when we were young, and commercial soup. We both like and know classics, it's good. He doesn't know my hebrew songs but he likes them.

My ex husband and I had very different tastes, he was laughing at me for my love of 80's glittering songs.
