I got a Manic Panic, man! i started dyeing my hair almost 2 years ago; initially i did it so it would match with a halloween costume i came up with, but since then i've grown to love dyeing it for the hell of it. i'm gonna re-dye my hair soon, but first i wanna shorten my bangs and have 2 patches of my bangs bleached (preferably on the left & right sides)...then i'm gonna seek out a jar of this: ...yep. i'm gonna have skunky bangs this time. i'm gonna retire infra red & pillarbox red (the two manic panic colors i've been using) for now. anyways, are there any of you who dye your hair (or have in the past) bright colors? if so, what colors have you dyed it?

I used Manic Panic once before. I can't remember the name for sure - Sunburst or something? It was this metallic bronze kinda color. It came out looking like Bowie circa 1976, which is a very, very good thing.
I've dyed my brother's hair with Manic Panic many times. He's had it neon yellow, construction orange and aqua.

My mom used to put foundation or rouge on my brother and I in family portraits so that we wouldn't look so pale. No wonder I'm so confused!

Seriously, I meant it. It still cracks me up thinking about us hanging out in Royal Oak. I can't remember what we were talking about, but you turned to me with a shocked look on your face and said, "You like girls!!?? Oh, I'm totally gonna rape you now." [Edited 10/6/05 9:09am]

my crazy hair colors were always happy accidents.
one time i dyed my hair black, then a month or two later, decided to bleach it white. the result was black hair with an inch or so of orange roots, which i just thought was the coolest thing in the world, so i kept it until my mother threatened murder if i didn't fix it ASAP. another time i tried to dye my hair black after bleaching it white, and i wound up with crayon blue hair. i kept that for about a day then i felt like a dork and dyed it all the way black.

Ex-Moderator | I've had platinum blond/almost silver hair. And I once had neon orange hair. I didn't really mean for it to be, but that's how it came out. I kept it for a few weeks and tried to bleach it out. It came out a kinda pastel peach, which was fun for a while. Then I bleached it back out to white.
And of course, I've had crayola red. |
