MY BROTHER FLEW A PLANE!

I'm so proud of him mushy it's been a lifelong dream of his to fly a plane he grew up wanting to be a pilot... he had an ambition that by the time he was 30 he'd be a millionaire and he'd be a pilot

well... Tuesday he took the first step to making that come true! woot! he flew a small plane (he knew all the terminology but I can't remember it lol) and he's going back Sunday for another flight and will be talking to them about getting his private and commercial pilot licence dancing jig it's extremely expensive so it would mean he's not coming to England next year any more but I'm so proud of him because it's his dream nod it's the happiest I've heard him in a LONG LONG time

YAY for dreams coming true!!! woot!

woohoo woot! ... light aircraft is the term you were looking for smile

My partner had the same dream and managed to fulfill it just after we married by taking a job at a flying school and being part-paid in flying lessons. He got his Private Pilots Licence but didn't go the commercial route (way too much money ... he would've been working there for life!).

It's wonderful hearing about people living their dreams. Please wish him well from me and my hubby.

It's so cool ... he may not be able to come over just yet but in a few years he may be flying himself over to see you biggrin (if you're still here, that is ... I'm assuming you will be) biggrin

I took around 8 lessons but could never find the runway which made me, and the instructor, slightly nervous biggrin

MinneapolisFun
k

I learned to fly here in Minnesota and it is the most fun I have had with my clothes on! I challenge yer brother to come here to Minnesota and learn to fly where it isn't so expensive. Most people move to Florida to get better weather for flying. There are a lot of flying schools in Florida. My greatest flight has to be either my flight to Denver to go skiing or my flight from Minnespolis to Daytona Florida. Tell your brother that when he does his first ever solo flight the tradition is to cut off a piiece of the tail of his shirt. You save that piece of fabric in your flight log book. I still have mine from 1987! Best of luck to him in his quest to fly!....Brian/MinneapolisFunk!
