extra oily skin

Ok so no matter how often I wash my face, it keeps getting all oily. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to make it not so oily, cause it is driving me crazy. And keeps breaking out. mad

The more you wash it, the more oil your skin will produce, because it feels like it's getting dried out with all of the washing. So, stop washing it so often!

Secondly, use a mild facial cleanser--Phisoderm/Cetaphil/Basic are all good, mild cleansers that will also do the job on the oil. I've also heard that the ProActiv stuff really does work miracles!

Make sure you're using a clean washcloth--bacteria grows on wet washcloths pretty fast. Also, make sure you're rinsing completely--it's pretty common to break out around the hairline and face because people don't get all of the cleanser off. Try not to touch your face or pick (I'm really bad about that), because it spreads bacteria.

I must confess that I have far too many magazine subscriptions, and I read all of those skin articles.

My skin is generally alright, but it gets temperamental when the seasons change or when I travel. Any climate, environment change, really. With the wacky weather lately with fall coming here my forehead has broken out. pout
But it'll go away soon enough.

Thanks,

I have always and religiously used the same Noxzema face wash and never had this problem until now.

OH TELL ME ABOUT IT!! lol

I mean- it'z a 'blessing' of sortz- cause ya know you're alwayz gonna look younger when you're older and when it'z at its best- it has a real radiance about it...but let'z not mistake the icky feeling of how oily skin can get (especially during the day!!)

I use Cosmedix skincare as that's what my skin specialist reccomended for me. It wasn't a selling point- it'z just a product she usez in her practice, at it is a medical product, only with natural ingredientz. I use D-oil every second night on my T-zone. Unfortunately it is currently being dicontinued but i believe they have a new product to replace it.

I do still get oily, but it just doesnt feel lick guck anymore.

Anywayz- if my skin specialist reccomendz it- then it has 2 be good- she's done lecturez around the world and i can see why- she is an absolute miracle worker you don't understand lol I had no idea wtf was goin on with my skin until she explained to exactly what was going on, why, and how she can fix it. Freakin AMAZING.

Oily skin is hard to combat- i know how hard it is!! But i'll say this much- if it'z about takin care of your skin deep down- don't go for off-the-counter shit, cause it may feel nice etc but it only effectz the upper dermi layer of your skin.

I use consistently Clearasil Face Wash for Sensitive skin.. Its the only thing that keeps me from breaking out. I also use Clinique for sensitive skin toner and astringent and i use a nightime moistorizer by Elemis at night, and an oil free moisturizer during the day under my makeup..

Some products i recoomend that i have used or still do use are Elemis (althought a bit pricey, well worth it)

St. Ives 100% oil free moistorizer....

Use products WITHOUT any oil or oil based products..Try Clinique or Elemis, or St. Ives. Also PURPOSE (a line of skincare) is also great! Use astringents with alcohol or witch hazel to dry out the oils in your skin...

I have extreemly sensitive skin.. I always have to watch what products i use because i break out so easily and my skin becomes irritated very easily...

I hope my ideas help!
