If you're not a coffee drinker start today.
Of course, weening off of coffee is just as difficult.

I drink a ton of coffee too. Right now, it's not that bad because I'm so sick of how they make me feel.

Or juice fast if you can't go hard core. Or even fruit/veggie fast if you can't stand to do liquid. You're body has got tons of toxins stored up right now.

Good luck Gemini.
Cravings only last up to 5 mins a time and get less frequent over time. Take it a craving at a time and build on that.

There is no attempt, there is only DO.
You are already making excuses for yourself. Stop fooling yourself.

when you get a craving, drink ice water. It helps it to go away. I quit a year and a half ago, pack and a half a day, roughly twenty years...you can do it!

Clean your teeth when you feel like you want a cigarette. Turns a bad thing into a good thing and with your fresh tasting mouth you won't be as likely to want to go back to the cigarettes and have the bad breath.
I'm still struggling to quit completely. I don't smoke every day, but I can't shake off the one or two some nights when I have a few beers.

I used to smoke a pack and a half to two packs per day of Camel Lights. I really wanted to quit, but I just as strongly didn't believe that I could.
Things that helped me quit successfully: --I got a Rx for Zyban from a nurse practitioner --I got a great book called "The Stop Smoking Workbook", by Stevic-Rust & Maximin, it had some great suggestions, i.e., putting a list of benefits of quitting smoking on the refrigerator to remind me of the immediate health benefits I was gaining by not smoking; putting away ashtrays/other smoking-related knick-knacks; identifying the "triggers" that make me want to smoke --LifeSavers --Sucked on cloves (not the cigarettes, actual cloves that you use for cooking) --Stayed away from coffee and Diet Coke (caffeine in general) and alcohol [Edited 10/2/05 18:34pm]

I was pleased that I smelled so good instead of smelling like those nasty cigarettes.
