Boxing Fans: Jones Vs. Tarver 3 Perdictions

Saturday, October 1 Roy Jones Jr. Vs, Antonio Tarver for the 3rd time. The first fight Jones won like I knew he would but by a close decision. Jones was on the ropes a lot but came back a little and got the decision. The second fight in the first round Tarver was already beaten, he couldn't touch Roy the first round. One mistake one punch put Roy down. He got up it was on the 10th count he it was over in the second round. I was like "What the fuck?"

Roy had 2 lose weight for that fight, big mistake. Earlier Roy had gained weight for hopes of fighting Tyson, that wasn't going to happen. So Roy had to lose weight to make weight for the Antonio Tarver fight 2 he had settle for.

Jones Vs. Tarver 3 is going to be obviosly the best of the year. I'm going for my man Roy. In the 90's Roy was untouchable, unstoppble. Roy is just too quick. Roy needs 2 get back to his usual weight, 200 plus pounds of muscle. I hope Roy knocks Tarver the fuck out once and for all and gets back on top.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

hmmm

So what's is his excuse for losing to Johnson????

I agree, he should've never came back down from heavyweight.....

Losing muscles causes weakness....

Personally, I think he's done.....

I will bet anyone that Tarver beats Jones. For your info, my old man ran a boxing gym and boxing is probably been a part of my life since birth. That being said, Tarver will not only beat him, I think he will punish him this time around.

Ahem, i don't know man, Tarver pretty much rocked him both fights (obvisouly, the second one) and on top of that Jones has been knocked the fuck out twice since then. i'm a big fan of Jones, i know he'd whup him if losing his last 3 fights has awaken the hunger inside, hopefully it has.

Just so my 2 cents don't get lost. neutral

I'm a big Roy Jones Jr. fan and I hope he can some how show flashes of his former self this weekend and give Tarver a boxing lesson, but I don't know if he has it in him anymore. Getting KO'D in back to back fights might have takin something outta him that he won't be able to get back.

Hopefully his one year hiatus did him some good, cleared his head and got his focus back on the task at hand, giving chumps like Tarver a beatdown.

Tarver is hardly a chump. Roy hasn't fought in over a year, and he's never really beaten ANYONE. Highly skilled, but not one of the greatest fighters ever by a long shot.

Antonio Tarver by Round 10 (unless he gets screw by the official during the fight or get screw out of the decision by the judges).

Why did the Tyson match never happen?

WBA wouldn't allow this title fight to happen.

And BTW, it was the real reason for Roy to forfit the WBA Heavywright Title.

Tarver is hardly a chump. Roy hasn't fought in over a year, and he's never really beaten ANYONE. Highly skilled, but not one of the greatest fighters ever by a long shot.

In his prime nobody from his era in his weight class could touch him, if Tarver had won the first fight with Harding the showdown with Jones would of taken place way back in 2000/2001. I think if Tarver fought that Roy he wouldn't of stood a chance, that Roy didn't let you keep his back to the ropes. He kept you in the center of the ring and out quicked you to death.

I always hear that Roy hasn't beaten anyone, I'd say James Toney, a young Bernard Hopkins and John Ruiz ain't nobody's.

Not being confrontational, but Ruiz is nothing more than a body in a pitiful division. I mean really.

Bernard, even at 22-1 at the time, was nowhere NEAR the fighter he was to become when Roy beat him.

The Toney victory was nice though.

Ruiz had a belt in that pitiful division though, so while he ain't all that great he still is one of the best in that weak heavyweight division which ain't saying much but hey it was a test for Roy.

Even a young Bernard Hopkins was tough, it was Roy's toughest fight up until the first Montell Griffen fight. And remember Roy was still young too, that was his first real test as a pro.

All that being said you got to admit Roy is one of the most exciting fighters ever, I hope he does well Saturday against Tarver.

Actually it was the first Floyd Patterson fight that Ali did that in because Floyd kept calling him Cassius.
