I realize I'm starting a thread that will probably die a slow, agonizing death, but I must ask if anyone is looking forward to, or has already seen, the Final Fantasy VII sequel movie?

An english version is supposed to be released in the U.S. on November 29th, but it's been out in Japan for a couple of weeks and I managed to snag a copy of it with nerd-made english subtitles through unofficial means. The plot was pretty stupid overall (It was made up mostly of deus ex machina moments), but the action was great and it was really nice to see all of the FFVII characters reunited (And not looking like retarted Lego people, at that).

A remake of FFVII done in the same style would be really nice.

I want to get it when it comes out in English

FF7 is one of my favorite games in the series....even tho I never finished it

Cool! The trailers look awesome. Especially the 2nd trailer with the espers kicking ass (or were they called eidolons in this one? I forget.)

I wish the "Spirits Within" film had been more along the lines of the games. With chocobos and espers and moogles and stuff.

FF7 was cool, and probably my favorite with the exception of FF6. Wish they'd make a flick of that. I played the PS version of FF6 hoping for more of those bad-ass cutscenes, but never saw any except that one at the beginning.

I agree that FFVI was the best game in the series, although that's closely followed by FFIV for me. I like FFVII, but it could really use a remake. I heard that if they are going to do another FF movie, it's going to be a sequel to FFVI, but I'm not sure how likely that is.

Ok. I added "Advent Children" to my Netflix queue, though it isn't being released until January 10th.

Have you seen the 7-disc series they also have available there? I was wondering if it was any good.

I'm going to have to break out those games again, me thinks.
