Cirque Du Soleil - Corteo

I just saw the performance of Corteo from Cirque Du Soleil, which made its US debut here in Minneapolis. If anyone knows about the kind of show these guys put on, you know its amazing! We had really great seats, of course, it looked like all seats would be good. The show is about a circus clown imagining his own funeral and trying to get to heaven, but its not as depressing as you might imagine. It starts with him on his death bed, seeing angels decending from above and dancers twirling around in giant chandaliers. Awesome acrobatics are displayed in a scene where a number of childlike performers are jumping on the bed, flipping and twisting. The show was two hours with a 30 minute intermission and kept your attention for most of it. One bit, a spoof of Romeo and Juliet fell flat, and it was just a comedy bit, but I guess the acrobats need a break sometime! Overall an amazing show and highly recommended!
