Lots of people in Hollywood think it's the only way to look. So do many models and young women too. It's totally sick if you ask me. It's a shame so many celebrities look like this now. It's so unattractive.

the dress is lovely, the hair is lovely, the tan is lovely...

the body just does not compete.she cant fill the dress for a start, and it just looks like a sheet. It reminds me of that thread about the dress lindsey lohan wore to the vmas. shes just too skinny. good looking girl, but too skinny. shame. shrug

These days if we have meat on our bones we're just considered fat. It's so wrong, but I can't see it changing. Check out the picture of Janet Jackson and some of the comments. I think she looks cute as a button, but others think she looks porky. I just don't get it.

yeah I saw that. I think theyre just saying shes "porky" becuase she is bigger than were used to seeing her. but shes by no means fat. Could have picked a more flattering outfit though... Im just worried by her cheekbones!

I know what you mean, about the great debate of fat or thin and stuff, but I wish people would realise that somewhere in between is fine. That they could see when to stop dieting and be happy with their shape, and not end up like above pic.

Sorry state of affairs, so it is, as all who have had eating disorders, however minor, or known people who have, willl know.

janet does look cute...but she is round right now...it is what it is...that doesn't mean she looks awful. She's definitely gain some weight and i think more ppl where commenting on the weight gain than saying she was ugly or unattractive.

Nicole is caught up.....she needs to eat something that had parents.....

Yep, I agree with you. No one should be too overweight. It's just not healthy. If you're a women, you probably shouldn't be any bigger than a size 14 or 16. If you are, you should probably lose a few lbs for health reasons. Being too fat causes many problems and some may not be overly obvious. High blood pressure, circulation problems, breathing, diabetes, etc.

thats funny! Ive never heard that saying.

Apparently its all to do with her boyfriend, who has a strict diet or something...or maybe thats any one of the other worryingly thin women in the press right now...Cant remember.

very sad indeed.

kisscamille-

yeah, were not mean to be overwieght, but were not meant to be thin either! its completely bloody shameful. All the other animals must think were right fucking fools for coaxing each other into an early grave.

How did the human race end up the laughing stock of the planet?!

becuase its not healthy for humans to look like that. were inherently programmed to find someone not that thin more attractive, because more fat/muscle/weight is a sign or fertility. not overwieght, but not thin like her. A lot ofthe time when women are that thin they dont even menstruate. For months or years on end. Its not healthy and its not how were supposed to be.

Im just saying! its the truth.

I thought that she looked good a few months ago, but now she is just WAY too thin. Love the hair, much better than that rat's nest she used to sport. But yeah, she is too thin.

I am not saying it is healthy, or attractive. She has decided that for herself.

When I was 98 pounds I still menstruated, so that isn't always truth.

How are we suppose to be?

Sometimes I think we are in danger, as we try to say it's okay to have a fuller figure, of ostracising thin people just for being thin.

In the same way that not every fat person has an eating disorder, not every skinny person has either.

Ya know, if it's okay to be fat, it's okay to be skinny too.

Were supposed to be healthy! Were supposed to not induce debates like this with our appearances. thats all. I just personally dont beleive thats healthy, or at least she could be a lot healthier. people tend to be healthier when they have more wieght on than that, and tend to feel better. Im impressed that you did though, Ive had a lot of friends who have had a lot of problems, but then everyones different. I guess some women maybe need more weight to function, some can go quite skinny and still be ok.
Im just curious as to what makes Nicole, or other similar women, think that it is attractive, and decide to look that way.

Yeah, i agree, its ok to be skinny or fat, but I dont think its quite so ok to be so overweight or underweight that your endangering your health. I guess what youre saying is that not all over or underweight people are endangering their health? I agree if so.

What i mean is, it seems to be acceptable to point the finger at someone who's very thin and call them skinny and say, "ugh, how disgusting" whereas it's politically incorrect to ridicule the fat. You post a picture of a smiling woman who is clinically obese, and many people will just say that she's got a fuller figure and as long as she's happy, fuck any critics.

Which is cool - i just think you don't have to criticise thin people to show that being larger is okay. The argument works without that.

Hmmm....
Well, I guess I wouldnt be very nice about the obese woman, but only to same point - that its endangering her health. At a certain stage its not about critics, the fact remains, you know, that its unhealthy. No matter if its unattractive. I guess I mean it for fat and thin - Im not talking about being attractive when im cold about it, its just not healthy. I dont mean just a slim person or whatever, only if thyre unhealthy or ill, which is hard to tell sometimes. I think Nicole looks it and I dont think its attractive. guess im not very PC eh?!

I dont really understand the second bit Im afraid...
