Are you a Heat Miser or a Jack Frost?

or

Do you always need a mug of something hot and a sweater, even during summer?

Or do you always need a fan and a bottle of ice cold water or soda, even in the dead of winter?

i'm hot-blooded, so i'm pretty much a jack frost. i sleep in a tank top year-round; i can't stand sleeping in a full pajama outfit because i'll overheat.

i'm like a human radiator. lol

I am a Jack Frost, I can't stand trains in the Winter, everybody is wearing think clothes, temperature cranked up to 100 degrees.

Does nobody else sweat or something!!!

BUt I doo like a mug of hotness by the fire in the winter though.

Dang, who knew there were so many Jack Frosts? omg

I'm one, too - I *HATE* artificial heat, and I always need to have a fan nearby. And I'm like Handclaps - I'm a human radiator. I kick off a lot of heat, especially when I'm sleeping.

I was always much colder than my family growing up. I would always walk by and turn the thermostat up and my parents were always turning it back down. I FREEZE in my apartment in the winter. I often walk around with a blanket draped around me. On the coldest nights last year I had to sleep in long underwear, pajamas and a hoody and then under numerous blankets. But I think that's just cause my apartment was so cold. Not me. batting eyes

i would imagine your apartment gets real cold, because it's right below ground level...me, i can't even leave the heat on in my apartment for too long because i'll get too warm and i'll end up cracking open one of my windows for a while (if i can get one open, that is--they always freeze shut due to the condensation).

i think i'm a jack frost because i grew up in a house where my mom was a SERIOUS jack frost. as in, like, i can remember the air conditioner running on christmas morning. lol

it was a house where, if you were cold and complained, you'd hear "then put a sweater on!"

as a result, i think i adapted, and i like it more cold than hot. plus, a kinda cold room helps keep my energy up, whereas a hot room makes me wanna go to sleep.

The only heat duct on my basement apartment runs along the ceiling, and heat rises. rolleyes I have a little space heater, which does help, but when its really, really cold out, my apartment is an ice box.

On the other hand - I don't have air conditioning and I didn't once feel gross this summer at home, through all that 90+ degree weather we had. So that's something.

it's the opposite with me--cold air actually helps me sleep, which can be bothersome for me at times. the office where i work has its air conditioning running year-round...and i'm here in minneapolis, so it makes absolutely no sense during the wintertime. lol but it sucks, because i get sleepy while sitting at my desk cuz it's so cold! i wear my hoodie to work everyday.

i like it cool when i go to sleep, it's very comforting. i guess i meant more like when i'm at work and it's hot in the office - it makes me really tired and i wanna take a nap at my desk. meanwhile, cold office + lotsa coffee = happy anxy biggrin

uggg....sad

lucky you! me and hohner were roasting in my apartment during that hot spell...all the ice water and cold showers (ice cube rubs across the fur for the kitty--he loved that, btw...he'd always meow at me whenever he saw me reaching for the freezer door, like "ooh! gimme one of those cold things!!" giggle) in the world didn't really help. cooked

I never thought I was all that warm until I realized that every woman I've been with has called me a human furnace or some other variant of that. Then again, it seems like a lot of women have extraordinarily cold feet and hands so maybe it's not really me being extraordinarily warm. When a friend from Canada was here visting recently I found myself carrying around a backpack full of sweaters that she could use, just in case.

I do get incredibly hot and sweaty when I eat though, for some reason.

I'm weird I guess. I'm definitely a Jack Frost indoors. I blast the air to the max in summer so that I can still sleep with my comforter. I don't do just sheets. But outdoors, I'm all about unbearable heat and humidity. The hotter the better, especially since I live near Lake Huron. All summer, it was high 80's and low 90's and I couldn't get enough of it. I'm absolutely dreading Winter and I hate it more with every passing year.

i'm weird about blankets and stuff when i go to bed. i've gotten to a point where i hate blankets and i just barely use sheets. i HATE duvets because i feel like i'm being suffocated by a giant marshmallow. i kinda understand you on the being outside in the heat thing, though. aside from our ill-fated attempt at attending the 105-degree lollapalooza show, i've had a great time out in the summer heat. nod

And by the way, I understand this Jack Frost character is afraid of heat because it would make him melt. But it still makes me confused that being a human radiator makes you a Jack Frost, i.e. a guy covered by ice and snow... confuse

I had difficulty with this too, I chose not to become embroiled. IT is too late on a Monday afternoon to deal with such philosophy.

My body-fat is low, so I tend to feel the cold more than your average bear. But I do keep it cool in my place 'cause I sleep better that way and I find it's more comfortable for gettin' it on (which I discussed in my 'What's your optimum temperature for shagging?' thread).
