Gabba Gabba, One Of Us...

Holy crap, it's 8:45am and I'm at work drinking my second cup of morning coffee! omg

I can't believe that after almost three years of working vampire hours, I'm finally working a day gig...and I'm happy about it!

I'll miss the late-night Org crazies, but I think I'm going to really like being a...a...(okay, I'll say it)...A MORNING PERSON. eek

Anyway. MORNIN'! wave

well, i know it's only my first day, but i'm digging the schedule...i stayed out late last night at prince night (well, "late" considering when i had to get up), and when i woke up and got ready this morning at 6am, i didn't suffer from drag-ass at all. plus, my early hours help me beat the morning work rush on the train, so i had a nice, quick, peaceful ride in to work this morning.

yeah, this'll do. smile

Good Morning!

I woke up in a good mood and discovered I'd left my headlights on again for the 8 billionth time this year. I had to take the bus. Which was actually quite pleasant cept that I was really late to work.

MORNIN'! And welcome to civilization! wave

I used to be a stone-cold night person, but now I'm a morning person and I love it. Just make sure Night Guy doesn't screw-over Morning Guy:

I never get enough sleep. I stay up late at night, cause I'm Night Guy! Night Guy wants to stay up late! "What about getting up after five hours sleep?", "Oh, that's Morning Guy's problem. That's not my problem, I'm Night Guy! I stay up as late as I want!"

So you get up in the morning, you're exhausted, groggy..."Ooh I hate that Night Guy!" See, Night Guy always screws Morning Guy. There's nothing Morning Guy can do. The only thing Morning Guy can do is try and oversleep often enough so that Day Guy looses his job and Night Guy has no money to go out anymore.

lol thanks for rolling out the welcome wagon.

i can TOTALLY relate to that seinfeld quote, though i think i've given Night Guy quite a long leash over the past few years...Night Guy could write a book or two...

aw, that sucks. though the bus is a nice way to get to work. more civilized than the train (where i live, anyway) and it takes a little longer to get to work via bus, so i can sit and read for a while before i get thrown into workplace chaos.

Unfortunately, the older you get, the less Night Guy and Morning Guy can co-exist. I've just posted in the 'Getting your wiener caught in your zipper' thread and that's just not something that happens to Morning Guy, fortunately. I think I've bid adieu to wild parties, I haven't had a drink in ages and I feel better than ever. I say good riddance Night Guy, Viva Morning Guy! biggrin

Night Guy still makes an appearance a couple times a year, but for the most part, I completely get what you're saying. It's a relief to know that I'm at an age where going out until god o'clock isn't Absolutely Necessary To My Existence, and i can enjoy going to bed early and getting up early and feeling healthy instead of like something you'd scrape out of the inside of an ashtray. dead
