Even my angry bitter aunt who is apart of the Nation of Islam always says there's no such thing as race (at the same time calling white ppl devils ). She always says that's the white mans tool for division

oooh I hate that. It amazes me how everyone is supposed to fit comfortably inside some little societal defined/described box and when you don't people feel like they can say negative things about those in your "group" without you getting offended. I have dealt with that a few times, so ignorant. But its always interesting to watch the reaction when you turn it back on them to illustrate how asinine their initial comment was. I have a friend who says all kinds of shit about EVERYBODY, even derogatory shit about Black people & she's Black   I always check her but she still talks shit & just apologizes as soon as something ignant flies out of her mouth. I've distanced myself from her over the years (for various reasons) but I wonder if anything I say (about generalizing people) sinks in or if she just thinks I'm a nag  
Like someone else said, I can't imagine how folks who've been discriminated against can so easily generalize/diss/discriminate others? Is it some kind of payback for what's been done to them?
