These are still images from a short film I made called Cyclone

Those are nice images. Was it only an exercise in visual style though, or did it actually have a story? What did you shoot it on? 35mm?

Thanks. It was a 20 minute 16mm film. I refer to it as a "transnational love story". It was about a woman considering helping her lover immigrate to the U.S. from the Middle East. Her grandma is a character:

I don't have a picture of the guy, but he's in it too.

Inspired by Isten's thread from a few months back, I decided to dig through some of my old portfolios to see what I've got to share. A lot of this is quite old, much from high school and early college, but I'm still quite proud of it. I don't draw or paint or work on projects like I used to. Same with my photography. And my music. What's wrong with me!? confuse But Isten got me wishing and wanting to start fresh with it. So I'm taking a quick look back to remind myself that I used to do this all the time. Basically a pep rally for myself. lol So anyway, here's what I've got for now.

Pencil drawing of a lantern and various fishing equipment. I still like this one. biggrin

Pencil drawing of a Ukranian girl, titled Katrina. I think I was 15 when I did this.

Watercolor Native American Woman, untitled. I never finished the background but I love the expression on her face.

I believe this was oil on glass. Not sure though. Cut off on the left side cuz the scanner wasn't big enough.

This was an etching on glass I did with the purpose of making prints. I couldn't get the grooves deep enough, so I was kinda disappointed with it at the time. So I just turned it into a paint pallet. Looking back though, I like how it turned out as its own thing.

Just a fun project for my Color Theory class in college.

Fun with substances and a copy machine. blunt

Joyce Warhol

That's all for now. I might post more as I get 'em scanned. Please show us some of your own. I always love seeing what others come up with. biggrin

I'm on my dinosaur computer which will take about 7 years to download all these pictures so I'll have to wait till I can get to my good one to see what you've posted. BTW ~~~~~stickpoke~~~~~WHERE IS THE ONE YOU PROMISED ME DONE WITH THE PRIMORDIAL SLUDGE I GAVE YOU?????
Seriously Nathan ~ you are very gifted and it would be great to see more work from you!
