This first one reminds me of a closeup of waterdrops on a window. Really dimensional.

Acrylic's wonderful. It used to be my paint medium of choice until I became better at watercolor. I'm gonna go buy some today. thumbs up!

yay!

have fun!

I hope to. I have this really awesome stuff called marbelizing agent. You mix your acrylics with it and it makes the paint more of a swirling liquid that actually moves. It's best when you use either metallic or irridescent paint. It starts to look like glittery molten lava and it still keeps moving until it dries. Makes an awesome effect.

well, not just a copier smile it's a collage of webcamshot
printed with a copier print on top of it, after that it's been
glued into my notebook, where I charcoaled and type-exed it in
place and wrote some doodles across it.

I'm thinking about making a very very very faint copy of it on
see-through paper and using it as a back/fore ground for verry
colorfull and sharp figure. or autumn leaves, caugt on glossy
filmpaper or perhaps the real thing dried and crumbled.

ooh, now there's a thing, dried autumn leaves and pineapples
in a blender and mixing them with paint....

i want to make another deck - i have the cards, but i've been putting it off because i can't figure out what media i want to use - paint, pencils, markers, transfers, collage, etc. ...i used big smelly chartpak markers and sakura brush pens for my last deck and they came out really well.

I've never seen any of your art. Now I'm really curious and would love to. Did you do a lot in high school/college?

i did a lot in high school - i had some of my art class projects in our high school yearbooks, and i came really really close to going to art school, but decided to go with the writing instead. i think i have a better eye for layout and design and making things look good than i do a talent for actual composition...if that makes a lick of sense.

I was really close to going to art school too. I ended up spending all my time in genetics and biology classes instead...go figure. Now I wish I would've gone ahead with my more fanciful ambitions cuz the science degree went nowhere. hrmph
