Delores Clayborne and Bag of Bones. Great character developement.

There's another favorite of mine, I forgot the name. It was about this ancient UFO that made everyone in town act strange. It was set in Maine (of course), and the main characters were a western writer and her boyfriend, and the lady sheriff.

I also enjoy his short stories.

This is my kinda thread!!!! I LOVE Sai King!

Some of his books are so-so, but when he gets it right he's a genius! I put off reading The Gunslinger series for far too long. Once I started reading them I was quickly hooked. King creates worlds that I get lost in. His characters almost become "real" in a sense. I cried when the series ended and I felt like I lost family members. IT is a great novel-so descriptive, so colorful. very spooky and very long too. The Stand was so scarey because some of it could actually happen! Needful Things was a good read. The Talisman is the shit! Carrie was the very first novel I ever read.
His On Writing book is full of greta writing tips and personal anecdotes.

Yes, I'm a geek, a nerd, a bookworm. But Stephen King's writings will always have a place in my heart and on my bookshelf. I LOVE that man!

Look at those last posts. Neither of you want this animosity. You're both just stuck in this bad behavioral habit. You both feel unheard and are lashing out because you've been hurt. It's time to move on. You don't need this negative reinforcement. You both deserve better. lol

The Dark Tower.

Ever since my cousin insisted I start reading them about 5 or 6 years back, I've been hooked ever since.

Wizard & Glass being my fave so far, with The Gunslinger following closely behind (pun intended for those in the know!) wink
