Today is My Parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary

Hard to believe that it's been 50 years already, but nice to know that in the age of infidelity and distrust that is common in marriages today, that some marriages can and do last. biggrin
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

If you added a picture I'm sure there would have been more of an empotional impact in the collective org psyche. Bare and cold, your post was just words on a screen from a stranger. But, truly, it's a wonderful achievement and I'm all for monogomy and being packed in a box together afterwards. Let our bodies melt into one another in rigormoritis. That's sexy to me. heart

Unfortunately, I don't have any pix of them online, or I probably would have added it. But even without a pic, I would have thought that more people would have responded, since I've seen people post threads about various subjects without pix that have gotten a huge response. shrug Oh well, carry on.....

thats great!!! Congrats to them!!! My grandparents have been married for 58 years now. They have been through so much together, all hasn't been peaches and cream. I think that is what really makes a real marriage, you stick with each other no matter what has happened, and believe me there were times when they were separated and all, but they managed to patch things up keep the family together. I think its a real blessing. biggrin
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

58 years - wow, that's terrific! It is a blessing when a couple can resolve their differences and stick together like that. Gotta give them credit, a lot of couples don't seem to do that anymore. sad

no they don't. The first sign of trouble it seems that someone leaves the other one and then there is the divorce.
