and I'm not sure why. I don't remember the last time I woke up in a good mood for no good reason and just felt good about things. Maybe it's cause I like how my lipstick application turned out today. Maybe it's cause it's Friday.
Now, I'm at work and undoubtedly within an hour or 2 something so exasperating will happen to kill my buzz. But for now, I feel good.

And tonight I've got a date with my new neighbor/gay boyfriend. We're gonna walk around Uptown and see a movie and get some yummy dessert and drink wine and be merry.

And THEN tomorrow I get to go see Sigur Ros. I wonder how long I can keep up this fabulous mood? hmmm

Cold, schmold, this is nothing!

Although, fall came in with a bang. One day it was 83 degrees then the tornadoes came and the next it was only in the 60's. It was crazy. A tornado touched down 10 times in a suburb of Mpls. 1000's of people are still without power. There were funnel clouds reported in downtown and uptown mpls. That NEVER happens in downtown. It was SO crazy!

No, but it knocked the trees out of the ground. Uprooted, they're everywhere.

But not in my neighborhood. and not where we're bringing you to show you the leaves, either. biggrin

Man I can't imagine trees ripped out if the ground. It takes such a long time for them to grow to be so massive..... That is truely sad.

A co-worker said 2 willow trees in her neighborhood are gone and they were rumoured to be 200 years old. I don't know anything about willow trees, so I've no idea if those claims can be true, but in any case, it is quite sad. Luckily, I've heard of no casualites and though a few homes were leveled and there's a bunch of trees gone it's nothing we can't clean up. Thanks goodness.
