What is this all about!? ~Smile.

Have you ever had an unintended day off (of work)... and truly was thankful no matter the chaos that you had to endure!? lol

(Read at your own bored will) lol

Well... it all begin this morning when I decided to stop at Walmart to get some last minute art supplies for work. I called my co-workers around 8:20 a.m. to let me know I was going to stop by Walmart for some supplies and if they needed anything to give me a call. Easy enough, right...

I enter the garden entrance just around 8:25 a.m., the morning was beautiful, the sun was shining, clear skies...the greeting retiree was in a cheerful mood... and said, "Isn't today a beautiful morning!?" I said in my cheerful enthusiastic voice... "It sure is!!!" ~Smile. I proceed... see a couple of well familiar faces... they say, "Hey, how are you today!?" Of course... with my smiling face... "Wonderful, and you!?" I proceed...

(I can't stand Walmart most days (I avoid it like a plague) ... although in the morning, especially during the week... it can be very pleasant)

Still smiling... I proceed...

I was extremely tired and all I could think about was coffee... coffee, but I still smiled...

I entered the CD area and browsed for a bit... picked up a copy of Disney's Greatest Hits, Volume 2. YAY! Went to the blank CD's picked up a pack of 50 and some empty CD sleeves... I plan to back up the children music at work.

Anyways...

I finally get to the yarn department... today's project... POM POMS. biggrin I get several colors and the whole reason I went in the first place was to get some thicker yarn for the younger aged children.

I proceed to browse for a few more things... I check the time... it is almost 9:00 a.m., I have an hour before activity time begins. I figure by this time... I better head to the register... so I can get to work with enough time to set up, at least by 9:45 a.m.

I get to the register, purchase all the items... and walk out the store... as I walk out of the entrance, I was yet blessed by the elder greeting lady, "Thank You" with a nod and smile is all I said.

I get to my car... and

hmm

where are my keys!!!?

Ah...

I backed track for 40 minutes... circling at least 6 times. I was exhausted... and to think I really did not want to go to work today. I have been exhausted... (for many reasons)...

Can any of you imagine trying to find keys in hundreds upon hundreds of yarn rolls. Yeah... just think about it...

I finally gave up... realizing that I will not make it to work in time... and... that the set of keys were the only set I had, it was my spare set on top of it all. I call work...

I then decided... I would rather spend my day in Walmart, help the friendly gardners water the plants, greet customers or simply just sit and bask in the sun on the patio furniture. I really didn't care about my keys at that point... lol The day before at work... we had this heated staff meeting where practically everyone was crying, the office has been tense... and for once, I was not part of the drama, but I felt bad for everyone. I was drained with the emotion of everyone last night... I needed a break. (other things as well...) I simply needed a short vacation at Walmart... my not! ~Smile.

I go to the indoor McDonalds and get two hash browns, a coffee... and sat down. I called my sister... and told her the news... and asked if she could pick me up. She is used to me losing my keys... thank goodness she loves me so much. I told her take her time... I was in no rush... and that she would find me sitting outside on the swing canopy. Awe... and I did just that.

I know, I know... my stories are long... I just type...what comes to mind... whatever...

She gets there... I think I lost time by this point... but I think it is almost 11:00 a.m. We get to my place (she has keys to my home, thank goodness) and I call Honda. Simple enough... all I need in my VIN # (which is on my insurance policy) and my Driver License. That's it! I get to Honda and get four keys made... and was amazed how cheap and quick it was. To think how many people call Lock Smiths and how expensive it is.

My sister and I go back to the Walmart... (I will skip all the details) although we get there and my keys have been found. Oh well... I needed to make a spare set of keys.

We go have a nice lunch... and she drops me back off at my car, it is around 3:30 by this time. I still needed to go to Target to get Cat Litter. I get to Target... get a couple of things... and get back to the garden register (I always go through the garden, it is less busy). Guess what!!!? I don't have my keys..... AGAIN! By this time... I had several keys just a few feet away... all locked in my car and... my new keys... lost. I really wanted to give up this time. lol

I do my round about again... didn't find them... went to customer service, gave them my cell number in case they show up again. By this time... I did not want to call my sister, again. What a pain in my butt I am.

I decided to continue to look... it felt like an eternity... and finally, finally I found them, again.

... I can't believe this day... I never went to work... and I surely did not have a day off. Although...

I do have a new set of keys... a new key chain and I even decided to buy a small bag at Target to hold only the small necessities, especially my keys.

OH MY GOODNESS. rose

Tomorrow, I really do have a day off... and I am still going to tend to things that pertain to work. lol

And no... I am not going to edit. big grin

that's a funny story, Julie!

I like how you simply.. "rolled with it" rather than lose your mind or "sweat" that you were stuck there. then, like you said, you did get a new set of car keys out of it!
smile

I have always thought that everything happens for a reason, even if we don't always understand the reason at the time something happens.

we'll see how much time passes..
before you lose some keys again!
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

lol I was doing dishes... and I thought, "I am going to type this moment out"... with little to no thought while typing it. I could of hit on some key areas that are still making me laugh.

(I don't like to write as much as I used to... it takes so much time...)

*When I got coffee this morning, from McDonalds, I grabbed 5 creamers to pour into the cup. Out of the five creamers... one was chunking... uh... I decided not to have coffee. I poured the coffee down the drain and rinsed the cup out and got some Coke instead. Hmm... that may have something to do with the slight headache I have now.

*My niece is newly potty trained... and during our potty trip (at lunch), she was angled in way that the peepee squirted onto my shoe and pant leg...

Oh well... lol (I am washing them right now)

*The guy at Honda was laughing at me when I called him... I asked if they had any alarm systems for keys... so I could just push a button (hmm... a niffy ring button, yeah... so I will have it on me in case I loose my keys) and I could hear a loud beep when I need to find them.

When I get to Honda... he says... so you are the one who just called... lol, "I'm the dork, yes..." err He knocked of the cost to half price for 4 keys... charging me for two. Yay!

... I just can't believe this whole day consisted of me loosing keys... a whole days work. I got home just about the same time as if I did go to work. It was a long 8 hour day of adventure.

Oh well.

I think I need to hold an extra key in my wallet... I have not misplaced that, yet.

Go figure.

I have one of those nifty little clips that I got into the habit of attaching my keys to my belt loop. Then again, I sound like the janitor when I'm walking around.

So you have a chaotic side as well eek , I am, I must confess, a little bit chaotic myself (okay, Peter would say not just a little bit lol ), though I never lost my keys biggrin . Judging from your posts where you wrote how often you wash your hair I thought you are a very organised person with a very neat house who never has to search for anything nod.
Great that you didn't loose your patience, but made the best out of the situation thumbs up!
With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I love reading your mini-adventures, they're wicked biggrin And somehow I can never imagine your face expressing frustration of losing keys ( it's a bloody nightmare when it does happen mad ), coz it's just too darn sweet mushy

Next time you're around my endz in the U.K., we'll make a trip to the local kids after-school playground. They'll teach you how to strip and hot-wire every type of car wink

lol all of you above... make me laugh.

~It is ok to laugh...

~I am sure I will get paid... I can use a personal/vacation day if I would like, no big deal.

~I don't want to sound like a janitor (the noise drive me batty)... however, I did buy a keychain with a hook.

~I loose my keys ALL the time... it's like 2nd nature to me. I have an orderly home, but certain things are a mess... I call it balance. Heh. My sister or my past significant (husband) smile always bails me out... although this time I had no spares to pull me through. I made four extra keys yesterday, gave two to my sister, I am going to put one in my wallet and the other keep here at home. That should fix me for some time... it does get exhausting, for all of us. One day I will have to walk home, I am sure of it... although I won't have a house key. (I need to hold an extra in my wallet too) I am getting it all straight now.

~Senik, I miss you. I need to reply back to you... plus I really want to learn how to hot wire my car... that would solve EVERYTHING.
