Yep. And that doesn't even require an Oktoberfest.
If you go to a "Biergarten" in summer, they also serve beer from these mugs (they're called "Mas"). And not only in Munich but almost everywhere in Germany.

Reason why I go to germany for dinner frequently smile (And not just in the summer biggrin)

yep, just compare it to your tiny little glasses which are used to serve beer in the Netherlands, I mean come on now! hah!

a couple of years ago I was sailing on the Ijsselmeer with 3 friends.. the first evening we went to a pub and couldn't really believe the glass size... but the second night we went straight to the bar and ordered 20 beers right away for a start beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer

I know, I know....

They're called "kleintje pils" and are 200ml confused

Price: EUR 1,50 +/-20ct

Luckily I live only 3 km's from the german border where I drink Erdinger Weißbier

half a liter for EUR 1,80 biggrin dancing jig

The Maß is 1.065 Liter

And sells at the current Oktoberfst for aprox. EUR. 7,15.
A filled up Maß weighs 2,25 KG and it's not unusual for waitresses to carry 6, 7 Maß at once... eek

Hey.... 1 Maß (=EUR 7,15) = 5 "Kleintje Pils" (=5x EUR 1,50 = EUR 7,50)
omg
So the freaking comparison teaches me that the regular price for beer in Holland even exceeds the "Wiesn" price for beer (which is always considerred as being very expensive)
hmm cooked

holla, interessant.

German for Oktoberfest visitors Lesson 1:

Dirndl (Girl dressed in local "Kleidertracht" folkloristical clothes)

Heisse Dirndl (Hot chicks in "Trachten") biggrin
