From about 1990-1995, a bunch of afro american movies were released to cash on on bad black neighbourhoods thanx to the growing popularity the image got thanx to nwa et all.

It was around that time period, as hood movies changed somewhat. The last serious one was "baby boy". But they dont do them like they use to proberly because they stank up the box office after a while.

As far as parodies go, "fear of a black hat" is a movie even my parents find funny. Alot better then "cb4". Shame it got swept under

Shame tupac doesn't actually play any basketball. Also, the ending is too predictable. But tupac and leon carry the movie "above" a average sports film.

"poetic justice" doesn;t really count. Anyway, its not very good, and thats putting it nicely (iam too soft with film criticism). Janet cant act, story is passable i guess. Tupac again makes it watchable.

"frankly my dear i dont give a shit" is one of the best lines ever.

I love house party, that was so funny when he snuck home and his father came in with a belt. I like Spike lee's movies, some others forgot the names. They use to come on on the wb11 late at night.

Tales From the Hood Not really a "hood" movie,.....but I love it.
