3. Why do I have them? Am I weird to have them? Or not to have them?

Are you especially creative? Do you have an imaginative personality? People with these characteristics (poets, writers, musicians, painters, graphic designers, etc.) are more likely to have flying dreams than the average population. People who do public speaking are prone to have them, too. Not surprisingly, folks who fly planes and hang gliders have flying dreams, although they tend to fly without their vehicles, like Superman.

eek I am a graphic designer!

I've had flying dreams. To take off I have to sort of "swim" upward and then I can glide on the air. It's very cool.

biggrin Yeah, I have an awkward kind of take off too, but once I'm up there I'm OK. And it's funny I really have to believe I can do it to do it, otherwise I start to sink downwards again!

I vivdly remember the dream I had when I first discovered I could/how to lucid dream. I was flying but in that way like a wasp that's gotten into the house and keeps bumping into the ceiling. I would hover and dip and bump into the ceiling and it was making me SO nauseous. I finally got so mad I just decided I had to come down.

I've lucid dreamed many times, and I tried to call people who have passed and I tried to call people I know. I practice flying and I try to get answers about questions that have been bugging me.

I have astral traveled, I suffer from sleep paralysis. When it happens I would roll out of my body and find myself standing beside my bed. During sleep paralysis I know I am sleeping, I am able to see through my eye lids and I can hear sounds from other rooms, it's like my hearing is strenghtned or something. I am also able to sense a presense, could be my imagination, but I find it sometimes scary.

Astral travel and lucid dreams are just awesome. biggrin biggrin

Of course I dream in colour, always have.

And about to have to beleive I can fly, It simply is, When I dream, I know I can fly and it helps me out of a lot of situations.

About working in your dream, yeah, had that too, but it doesn't annoy me really, often I found the solution in my dream, and have to work it out in real life. On the other hand, mostly it's simply not possible to realise in real life, but then again it was a good idea smile

I have them a lot, a lot, a lot. Have had them for years. I fly by paddling my feet or just willing myself to float up. I can control the height and direction. Sometimes (in my dreams) I show people what I can do and float up to the ceiling. Sometimes I'm alone flying over trees and looking at the neighborhood. In my dreams, I'm always aware of it as a special skill and gift I have.

Someone once told me that flying dreams mean your heart is open.

I've actually gotten better at flying in my dreams over the years. When I was a kid I used to have to run and jump and then try to glide through the air. Years later I could get up in the air by wriggling around in a weird way. These days I can simply levitate. It takes quite a bit of concentration to remain in the air though.
