As a kid, i was given three huge bags full of comics: DC, Marvel and the like. Stuff like Doc Savage, Silver Surfer, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, Conan The Barbarian etc... only for a certain someone who shall remain nameless to bin the lot one sorry day. I don't know much about collecting, but I believe these were all from the 'Bronze Age' era

I later found out that some of the copies I had of Conan especially, were worth a couple of hundred pounds. But more than anything, I still wish I had them as I wouldn't have sold them anyway - I used to literally LOSE myself in them and immerse myself in these totally amazing worlds.

It was wierd reading this thread as recently I wondered if I should take up a hobby - and recollecting what I could remember of my beloved comix seemed a pretty neat idea.

However, I did manage to salvage one from the trash, I think that it could be worth quite a lot as I believe it is super rare.

I still have a bunch of my comics I acquired in the 90s. A lot of silver age Justice League of America, some Green Lantern (Emerald Dawn I and II), some Star Trek: The Next Generation, and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff. I was getting a subscription to the current JLA series until about a year ago.
