I love it when people hold hands. You wouldn't take it for granted if you couldn't always walk holding hands with someone you love.

Yeah, that's how I see it, like in long-distance situations or those where you're no longer with the person you love. nod

I hate the fact that in this narrow-minded backasswards country of ours, same sex couples don't have the right to be just as annoying and nauseating showing affection in public as the straights. It would annoy me the same amount, no more no less, but I would fight to defend your right to do it.

there's nothing insecure about holding hands in public that is unless your partner just grabs your hand whenever they think someone attractive is walking in you're direction...
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The South is just the region of which I live...not my mindset.

I think about the only thing I have in common with some of my fellow Southerners is my taste for sweet iced tea.

What about America, exactly, prevents you from holding his hand in public?

I've seen gay couples hold hands in public.

The illegality of gay marriage notwithstanding, what prevents you from holding his hand in public? Seriously. I'm not being facetious.

I would get my ass kicked or constantly made fun of if I were to hold hands with another man, in America. It's funny because some boyfriends that I had didn't hold my hand in public because of safety reasons. It kind of annoyed me but I understood. At my age I think I would do it more freely but it's still scary. Sometimes I revert to my internal homophobia and become embarrased by it. I have to snap myself back into shape.
