to our older orgers (so to speak)

what wisdom would you like to pass on to younger orgers that may be more accepted coming from orgfriends rather than anyone else?

That, believe it or not, many of us have been there, and done that.....

DO check the FAQ's before starting a thread.

DO pay attention to what behaviour gets other noobs made fun of, and avoid it like that egg salad sandwich you found sitting on the bus floor.

Always ALWAYS think before you type.

don't have 3 children in the space of 4 years. disbelief don't do it. If you must, say goodbye to holidays away and trips to the cinema - invest in a HDTV instead.

I'm an "older orger" so here are my nuggets of wisdom:

1) It takes time for people to "get to know you" so to speak, and for you to kind of find your "niche" on the org. Just be yourself, and it will come with time.

2) Never, ever flame people, it just pisses people off and makes the mods' jobs more difficult, because then they have to either snip out the flames or lock the thread up completely. Besides, it's really not worth it, in the long run.

3) If your name doesn't get included on one of the popularity threads, don't take it personal. Again, it takes time for people to kind of know who you are on the org, and for them to respond to you.

4) Be yourself, but be your best self, and have fun! There are many cool people here, and after awhile, you will know who they are. On the same token, you will learn which people to stay away from. lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
