I have about 15 years until 40. I'm enjoying life and taking each day one at a time. When I start approaching 40, God willing, I'll be doing the same.
Luv yall. | |

Don't yall remember it like it was yesterday, being young and discovering Prince? I was in my teens during his heyday and having him releasing those kick ass albums one after the other, while I was in my formative/transformative years. What a blessing to have experienced that Anyway, time flies. Damn.... Good news! You are too young to be this nostalgic already. Everybody knows that 40 is the new 30 and 50 is the new 40, and so on. Makes sense -- many of us are living heatlhier lives than our parents did and there are more ways than ever to stay in shape. Many men reach 40 still looking like they are 31, especially in the gym bunny community.

So far it's only gotten better for me. The fun doesn't seem to stop.
Maybe more strategic & enlightening fun with fewer unexpected negative side effects . A wiser outlook on things for sure. Kinda like you're able to see the potholes a bit quicker and maneuver around them. And time does fly when you're having fun. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. 27 here. Not in the least bothered by that or by the approaching 30.
Had loads of fun being young. It's almost 10 years ago now that I'd go out almost every night and get splattered, wasted, face-sucked n danced myself into a stupor every weekend. That was cool, but every age has it's benefits and it's charms. The 20s are cool because you're passed puberty and all those hormones, tempers and shit. Life becomes easier the older you get since you get to know yourself better and learn more about how the world and everything it functions and how you're best off dealing with that. Today's culture has gone mad with people wanting to stay young for all their life. Let's be honest, people whom age in a graceful way and start to dress a bit like it (not dull or priestlike but still not in children's clothes and miniskirts n shit), people who don't go dying their hair as soon as it becomes grey and who don't want to pretend to themselves that they're still 18 until they're long past 40. Cuz frankly, the only pathetic looking people are the ones who try to hang on to their youth with desperation. The ones that won't be told that they're too old to wear certain clothes or to act like a fucking teenager. Don't get me wrong, everyone should do what they feel best with but don't expect people to consider you hip or cool when you're just an old fool trying to act all MTV yoyo Diddy my Schnitzel. Even I dont grasp the concept of MTV anymore, Im 27 and in the eyes of global marketing statistics that's old. That's a whole nother age group compared to the mtv generation. And indeed it is, some trends of the new youngsters are supposed to be theirs, not ours anymore. We had our own stuff and still have our own cool new stuff. Just act your age mama, not your shoesize and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
