Weird Tennis Noises

Ok, I'm watching the US Open and noticed that Sharapova makes the strangest noises when she hits the ball. whofarted It sounds like she's having sex rather than playing tennis.

I find those noises a bit ludicrous and even wonder if they do it on purpose to distract the other player? I mean, do the guys make noises like that, too? I don't watch tennis often enough these days to know if they ALL do this--someone school me on who has the weirdest noises and why they do this?

It's annoying to me. confused I mean, I used to play tennis in high school (along with volleyball, etc.) and we made some noise because of the physical effort, but not like this. eek Obviously, these professional players are in a whole other league, but are these noises really genuine?

Sometimes I wonder....

That or maybe they do it to distract/annoy the other player. It sure would work on a competitor like me! mad

My friend and I watched a few tennis matches in the wee hours of Sunday morning last weekend for the sole purpose of hearing the sexy male noises. I really shouldn't be posting this as it demonstrates my lack of coolness. I have a deficiency.

But I won't deny- there's nothing hotter than a man making sexy pelasure noises. drool3

I dont watch tennis much, at all but I think the Venus and Serena Willams does it the best. They have the loudest I've heard when I do catch tennis.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

There was a comedian(I want to say Tom Rhodes) who had a joke about laying out playboys on the bed and turning the volume all the way up on womens tennis

Really? Hmmmm... hmmm I'll have to watch them sometime.

I read something a while ago about some tennis judges/officials wanting to put a limit on the grunting and stuff. I wonder if they could do that.

That is no joke, I could see that--all you have to do is close your eyes and you'd think you're watching a porno with a cheering, clapping audience!

Some of the noises are kind of squeaky and high-pitched, too, like they're sneezing.

Aww man, you missed it! They played each other last weekend! i don't know if it's just me, but it always seems as if the commentators are dogging them a bit on the sly. hmmm

I think maybe some of it is put on as not all women tennis players do it do they? Some you dont hear a squeak out of. Maybe it is to put the other player off, Or maybe it's the force of hitting the ball and it just happens, like the way you cant sneeze without making a sound. I've tried sneezing silently but it's really difficult. Womens tennis used to be really ladylike, they used to skip around the court all daintily and tap the ball all limp wristed. It's all very different now.

They started that discussion about 15 years ago when Seles started that shit. As long as they suck people don't seem to be bothered by it much, but once they start kicking ass all of a sudden people have a problem with it.

Men make noises too, but not nearly as bad as women.

Most of the sound should come from exhaling as they hit the ball, but a lot of these noises are produced by their vocal chords which means they're doing it on purpose. Not saying they're doing it to distract the opponent, but they can easily tone it down a bit.
