I also like the "film noir" made in the 40's and 50's. But there is nothing like watching and good drama from the thirties at two o'clock in the morning when everything is quiet, check out 'The Picture Of Dorian Grey'.

Hitchcock is the master. Virtigo will blow your mind. He did an earlier one called Spellbound, which has a great ending, and a Salvador Dali dream sequence that is amazing.

Woody Allen is great too, when you can check out Deconstructing Harry and Crimes And Misdemeaners.

it is, not even the best movie from Bogart or Bergman. Not even the best movie from Michael Curtiz that year. good movie, but.....

I love Doris Day movies... And 'Gone With The Wind' mushy
