Okay... A baby is a metaphor for a new life. You dreamt you made a new life for yourself and you feel protective of it.
I recently dreamt that I had a baby myself, but it was in danger of dying and I was very unhappy. But then the child's other father came and took my hand to comfort me and I cried at his shoulder. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

i'm sure of that. so to dream about it like that gets me all worked up and throws all my well arranged thoughts into disarray. My father clock rang, too, when I was in my late twenties. I had very well-arranged thoughts about wanting to have a child. Now I am happy that nothing came of it. I didn't want to have a child with lesbians and be a "every other weekend dad" or something. If I was to have a child, I wanted to raise it. I wanted it to live with me and - ideally - my man. But I didn't have any man and none showed up... The only way I'll ever become a father is if I get into a relationship with a man who has a child from a past relationship. But that happened to my friend, so I doubt it'll happen to me, too. I mean, what are the odds? But seeing how my sisters' children really annoy me and I am a very impatient person with a short temper, things probably turned out for the best. And think about all the CDs and DVDs and comics and expensive dinners I couldn't have bought because I'd have had to buy clothes and shit for a child instead?! Having a child costs like a million bucks a year! At this time in my life, I have no intention of being a father. And besides, at my age (almost37) - if I met a man with a child from a prior relationship, that child would probably be so old that it would never consider me it's father anyway. And you, Isten... Under what circumstances do you realistically imagine yourself as raising a child? FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

Under what circumstances do you realistically imagine yourself as raising a child? well, I have this dream where I win the lotto and get a child basically thrown into my lap other than that, realistically, I know it's a very small and almost imposible chance. there are so many obstacles to climb before a child even becomes an option for a gay guy that it's probably better if i'll just concentrate on my brother's boys n girls. besides, once they get annoying, I can return them.. where the sun dont ever shine i will shiver the whole night through

IstenSzek said: that's right. out of the blue I spent all of last night dreaming about being preggers, having a baby and having to care for it. it felt surreal at first. (cant remember how it was ehm actually "born" if you catch my drift). then it became endearing and I remember people wanting to take it away or harm it. damnit, at that poit I became one mean motha when I woke up I felt pretty sad cuz I'd already fallen head over heals in love with that little baby. it was so freakin' unbelievably real. just amazing. it had all these little details like tiny birthmarks and stuff. so wonderful. I want a baby now Pregnant To dream that you are pregnant, symbolizes an aspect of yourself or some aspect of your personal life that is growing and developing. You may not be ready to talk about it or act on it. This may also represent the birth of a new idea, direction, project or goal. Birth To dream of giving birth or see someone else giving birth, suggests that you are giving birth to a new idea or project. It also represents new beginnings or some upcoming event. A more direct interpretation of this dream, may represent your desires/ anxieties of giving birth or the anticipation for such an event to occur this is well and good but nysnc....we both know these dreams are about your weave

I have been reading quite a bit about dreams, since my own dreams are always like little movies. I too once had a dream about having a baby. Well, 7 actually. I had 7 boys. It was amazing. And so I read about what it could mean. What came back all the times I read about it was that "birth" is a symbol for a new era you are about to embark upon. In your case, your baby was attempted to be stolen from you, so perhaps the new period in your life will have some struggles you have to overcome?
Anyway, it is always interesting to remember dreams. I am sorry you felt so sad after this one though. I hope your next dream will leave you with a more happy feeling. Sweet dreams!
