Technically yes they do have hands they are just called paws, but serve the same purpose as human hands so then if you say they have hands called paws then what about dogs, lions, wolves, cats, althom etc? do their paws serve the same purpose as human hands? A bears paws are like our hands...they use them to catch and eat with such as we use ours to hold silverware to eat with...such as the picture below... ...Bears also tend to walk in an upright position like humans...With dogs, lions, wolves, cats and Althom The attack food and eat with all fours, nor do they have the ability to walk in an upright position for a sustainable amount of time such as bears and humans...so therefore yes bears have paws which if they were on a human would be hands!

The fact that bears can (but actually don't very often) walk upright, and share other characteristics with us, has nothing to do with the question. Just to clear this up : If it has an oppsable thumb - it's a hand, if it doesn't - it's a paw. Of all the 8 species of wild bear, the only one that has ever been thought to have an oppsable thumb is the Giant Panda, and even that doesn't - it has a sixth digit on the front paws which functions in a similar manner to an oppsable digit, but actually isn't. Therefore, bears don't have hands, they have paws. And if you don't believe me, believe the experts : http://www.beartrust.org/wildbear.htm Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.
