omfg you've met Peter Garrett and were at Manly Beach? how cool!! you never told me that!


yeah, it was funny....he's a character! A few nights later I went to see Midnight Oil at a venue in Dee Why (?), double-feature together with Hunters & Collectors.....Garrett's bald head was steaming under the stage-lights!

They were a great band, very underrated, 100x better than INXS! nod

yeah, it was funny....he's a character! A few nights later I went to see Midnight Oil at a venue in Dee Why (?), double-feature together with Hunters & Collectors.....Garrett's bald head was steaming under the stage-lights!

yep it would have been Dee Why nod it's quite near Manly... and Hunters in the same night? whoa!! worship awesome show!!! and yeah the Oils are/were an awesome band... did you know Peter's now a politician?

I never told you about my Australia trip in '92?

I worked in Mona Vale (we have an office there), sailed on Pittwater Bay, lived in Churchill Point.
I did the Todd River-regatta in Alice Springs, saw Ayers Rock in the rain and many more things!!

Yeah Garrett's always been a politically engaged guy, Midnight Oil was almost always about politics with regards to the aborigenes.....can I say Down Under's Bono?

Dee Why also has this awesome golf-course on this cliff!! Loved it there! Need to go back soon!

If you like golf go to the Gold Coast nod they have some of the worlds top Gold Courses there... its about 10 hours north of Sydney
