well, so, here i sit

im watching the world change around me, i dont look at people the same anymore.... nothing that used to make sense makes sense anymore....

i dont know if its because im getting older, or because i dont like the way life is right now, or because i dont like where i am in life, or if its just me being crabby

when i look at where i live, the folks around me, i am getting increasingly more nervous about getting involved in their lives. i would rather sit at home alone than to venture out and find out people are just horrible creatures out for their own good and will stab you in the back if given any opportunity.

when i think about letting my children out into the world, i am overcome with grief. i know that the world is a heartless place where they will no doubt be showered with painful events and hurt by those that they thought cared about them.

when i watch TV, i see human lives lost without a second glance... while i see others still enjoying life. its hard to understand, and i know that life shouldnt 'stop', but damn if it isnt hard to explain that to my heart....

its so hard to see folks struggle to maintain just the little things in life...

and its a horrible feeling to know that i would rather be alone than to be hurt by the demise that awaits outside.

but we go on. And we teach our children to trust in the wisdom we give them, we let them make mistakes and grow, and we move forward because there has to be hope in this world. Don't let the bad overcome all the good in this world, because there is good, there are blessings, and to shelter yourself inside, to shelter your children too much is to let the bad win, to let despair cover hope.
