One thing u never tell a girl........ "your fat".
Ok, I knew this from many years ago (thank god I had an older sister), and this girl I as talking to today said "iam only 6 1/2 stone" (which is really light) yet I jokinly said "man, thats fat". She got very upset. I had to literally beg for forgivness. Yet later on, she was calling other people fat? Anyway, anyone else ever as a joke called a girl fat and had to literally beg for forgivness? I know I should not of joked about it, but man, I forgot that "rule" of things to never, even jokinly say to a girl. Its kind of sad really. Not for women personally, but the fact they get so wound up about weight.

It's a very sensitive subject alright. I find you cant even bring it up. Just leave it alone is my best advice. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Yes, playinly I call people I know very well fat, but that's after they insult me, so I have 2 come back. I say in a laughin' way so they know I'm just jokin'. They laugh along with me sometimes. I dont call women fat though. Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

it's better not to mention anything about the general appearance of a woman..... unless you want to have sex with her.
and then you only use one word expressions like wow!!!!! and amazing!!!!! beautiful!!!!! and make really stupid faces of glee. .....most women wrapped up in their apperance will never be satisfied with their looks, so it pays to keep quiet If asked, never actually look at their body, your facial expressions are usually a dead give away. So if a girl asks "am i fat?" and they are. What do you say?
I have tried telling the truth. Telling a lie. And subtly changing the subject. All land me in hot water. As equality grows, violence declines.

Thanks Natisse. I relate to that. It's a pity all orgers couldnt give a mature response to what is a perfectly normal predicament for a guy. As equality grows, violence declines.

You say "Not to me" and you go into a long diatribe about how men don't actually want thin women. But you don't say "thin", say anorexic or frail, anything to make her think she's in good condition. Never mention model magazines as a culprit, most likely she reads them. Warning!!!!! if she's a free agent you might have given her the apperance of being interested. You can say "my girlfriend is around your size" or if she knows you don't have one, mention a heavy female celebrity you're attracted to, but make sure the celebrity is actually thin. You've just thrown your credibility out the window. If she's feisty or drunk she'll argue about how that woman is not big, you go into "dumb mode" and then gradually start discussing movies. She'll be upset later, but not as much at you as at "things in general" Most likely though, a woman who would ask this question to a man would be on close terms with him. If it's a friend who has always been fat say "Not to me" and keep shut. If it's a friend who just got fat say "not to me" and ask "what do you think?" She'll talk about wanting to lose like 15 pounds when in reality she might need to lose 40. Take her to a really good veggie restaurant with meat subsitutes or go to the gym together. If it's you're wife you might be stuck. Suggest you both work out together. and then get her on Trimspa http://www.trimspa.com/ A woman knows how she really looks so these gereal rules apply if she ask "how do I look?". She's asking cause she looks like shit and want's you to tell her she doesn't look that bad or she looks fab and want's you to tell her she does. The best thing to do is be in a relationship where you can be honest and tell the truth though.

I had a "T-shirt" in college that read NO FAT CHICKS with a Big Woman pictured and a Red Circle with the line through it on top of it like a NO U TURN SIGN....I was a hit on campus! That, and my DO IT DOGGYSTYLE shirt! The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. -- Mark Twain.

Not girls in general, just the insecure dumbasses who've got nothing better to do than bitch and complain about their weight.
Sorry if that came across as bitter or cranky, but for the last 8 1/2 months I've been going to school with a group of girls (only one of which is even close to being considered overweight) and nearly every one of their conversations revolves around how fat they are, how big their asses are, what new diet they're trying. Overall they're nice, but I can honestly say I've never before met a pack of such self-obsessed, shallow people before. I want to slap some sense into their stupid heads. Two of them are skinnier than me, for Christ's sake, and I'm fairly small myself. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

If a girl asks that then chances are it's herself she needs to be directing that question to I agree. Sure, society, the media, and friends and family have an influence on how we perceive ourselves -but ti's up to the individual to see past all the crap they're being fed and love themselves for what they are. Hmmm. But its natural to look for a role model. TV / magazines give the majority of people a role model. But sadly that role model is usually unattainable or unnatural.
