I was looking for pictures of Prince...at first I never posted or chatted..just looked at pics.. Then after a couple months I started looking around...and running my month!!

ummm, i remember the first related sites i knew about were hammer's prince site, the prince family site and of course alt.music.prince.

i'm sure somewhere in there i discovered the org, and i lurked for a good long time here back in the black & purple days. i lurked everywhere, really. i posted a bit on AMP, but mainly i just silently marveled at the freakage.

By accident. guess it was my destiny.

I was looking for Prince's fansites and I wasn't satisfied with most I came across. This joint, while I've long thought it needs a gay web designer to spruce it up, had/has a pretty cool vibe, though -- so I stuck around.

i've been on here for so long i've forgotten how i found it.

When I was learning more about the internet, I wanted to find stuff on Prince so I went to Yahoo and typed in either "Prince" or "The Artist" and the org was one of the top sites. I've stayed here ever since.

I'm a bit hazy on how it turned from PPML into the org.. I just know I had the email digest first (circa 1996).

After violett wouldn't shut up about it (for a year or more) I finally had to check out what all the hoo-ha was about.

Ahhh... July 2004.

I was actually curious as to if there were any Prince fansites. (Can u believe that I didn't know!) Anyhoo, I saw Hammer's site he had a link to the org. I went looking in some of the forums and thought, " There's a bunch of purple freaks just like me here!" I hung my hat up and after the first five days passed, Purpleizpassion was born.

It was on my birthday two yearz ago! Which was the 22nd September here in Oz, and 21st September Org timez!! A few dayz before i had noticed a big advertisement in the weekend paper for Prince's concert and i was like...HUH! OMG i really wanna go (didnt end up going long story... ) but in amidst my excitement (i dialled the info line and everything!) i thought 2 myself in curiousityz exactly what nationality (besidez bein American) IS he? ...googled it...got a link 2 this site...came here..in2 da chatroom first.. trying 2 see if i could ask about his background- but noone seemed interested in answering my question and so i just joined and thought if i'd join i may find out morez!

I was looking for an "I hate Lizzy7701" site and got misdirected.

i was on love4oneanother a lot...mostly reading and checking out his "news" ramblings. Somehow I went to the new space when that went away and I think there was a time when he said "No more news" and that was that. At that time I started coming here and just looking at the first page for news items. As you recall he toured a lot back then and I needed to find out when he was going on tour so I could get tix as I missed him like 5 times since I moved here.

I discovered the P& More and Related artist forums which have a lot of newsish bits.

And then I start posting and it was all over from there.

It was a natural evolution.

Once I figured out that NPGMC (or love4oneanother.com as it ws at the time) was breeding new power butt nazis, I pretty much needed to look elsewhere for news.

I primarily used p.org as a news update on Prince and never bothered even reading the threads, or visiting any of the forums outside of the news until I saw the Photoshop contest last may.
