OK so I fell today in the subway going to work....

I was transfering trains today on the NYC subway and was coming down the last step of transfering to a different train... and as I hit the bottom step of the platform, i hit a wet spot (obvioulsly from the rain today) and loss my footing and fell flat on my knees.. I never dropped my I-pod or my bag, but landed BAM! right on my knees... DO YOU THINK ANYONE stopped to ask if i was OK.. NO.. you would think during rush hour at 7:45 in the morning, somoene woudl of stopped initally.. NO! Finally after i was down about 20 seconds.. a nice guy walked over to me and asked if i was OK and helped me up.. I was like, Yes I am ok thank you... and kept going.. I should of been more sincere about him helping me up, grant it, I was appreciative.. Guess it was the embarrasment of falling in front of 100 people and not one person stopping to ask if I was alright... Everyone kept just walking right on by... I guess it hurt my feelings a little because I always stop and see if someone is alright if they have fallen... I thought, FUCK you all that didn't stop .. I hope you fall one day and people just walk right over you!

In any case... I was left with 2 really badly bruised knees and a sour attitude for the day... However, I hope good things come to the man who stopped and helped me today!

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown
