The part that kind of freaked me out was when she sees those ladies in the church. That was kind of creepy.

M.

I dont get actually scared during movies. Maybe freaked out, but that's about it. Or if something jumps out and surprises me in the movie,I might do a little jump back, but who wouldn't. Then I'd look around 2 see if any1 saw me jump, then I'll smile and play it cool.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

they showed a 2 minute trailer when i went to see the cave on sunday (also pg-13)..from what i saw..it won't scare you..unless blair witch scared you...looks more like a compelling drama than a horror film.

as a general rule--pg-13 movies suck at being scary--anything that's too intense ends up on the editing floor until the unrated version comes out on dvd 3 months later

My name is Miguel Gomez.....(hello Miguel)

and I am afraid of the BLAIR WITCH PROJECT.

Yes, I admit it. I thought it was really scary. I knew that the footage was dramatized but I thought it was based on fact. I know the people that thought the footage was "actual" footage were really dissapointed.

This movie is pretty scary and is based on actual events that happened to a german girl named Annaliese Michel. She actually died, apparently of malnutrition, due to the exorcism. I believe the priest was charged with her death...something like that. There will be a special on...confuse some channel, a documentary type thing about the real story.

The movie is good, but is not exactly what happened in real life.

Smooches;)

Hey baby,

to me a Stephen King ending is when it ends up being some alien, spider-looking thing. (i.e. IT) Book or movie. It seems to me that the only KING movies that have been great were the ones that can actually happen. MISERY, STAND BY ME.

M

To be fair, though, some of his really great books have been totally shit on in movie form! yuck!

MOST of the film adaptations of his books are COMPLETE CRAP!

This Emily Rose movie looks very scary-at least the commercials look scary as hell. The mumbling voices and the scene where the girl keeps kneeling in front of a wall...I hope it's good. It was based on the true story of a "possesed" girl in Germany.

What I have read so far isn't really THAT scary...it's more about the court case regarding the girl's death than it is about the actual events.

The scary stuff in the ads are a small part of the film that the Priest's attorney recounts in order to free his client of the charges. The director does this as a way to distance the movie from The Excorsist. At least that's what Entertainment Weekly says.

I'll still go see it though.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Yeah The Shining was amazing both the book and the film. But the film was nothing like the book.... it's got basicly nothing in common with King's version.

King said at the time of it's release "I think Kubrick is trying to hurt people with this film." King threatened to sue if his name wasn't removed from the title.

There is an ABC ( i think it was abc) minni series called " Stephen King's The Shining" That is true to the book. And it isn't half as scary as Kubrick's version or the written word.

sigh Film versions always suck. The only films that I like just as much as I liked the books were A Clockwork Orange and Fight Club...but alas both books have different endings than the films.sigh
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Wooo dat soundz so cool!!! I hope it scarez ya 2 Miguel- so then I can go see it giggle- last "scary" movie i went 2 see was The Grudge, and I laughed all da way through. They could have done so much more in da makeup department- you know maybe at least make some skin tear off the zombie'z face. Also they looked like you could snap em in half- another reason why they werent scary. The eyes didnt even scare me. THere was only one eerie scene in a building where you could see the damn ghost in the security cam! Dat was it.

Yeah, I was very disappointed by The Grudge. It had all the makings, but fell short of being truly scary. I saw it in a theatre and I think that the audience was scaring each other more than the movie was scaring anybody. It was like scary movie mob menatlity...we all knew when we should say"ooh" and "aah" or scream, but nobody really knew WHY we were doing it casue the movie was kinda lame.

lol There were several memberz of the audience when i was there making the 'ughaghughah' sound lol even i did it 2 my friend sittin next 2 me n we had a good laugh at it, giving 'how pathetic' glances at eachother at all the pivotal stupid bitz! Having said dat- i know some people who were sent mad in fear after this film!! Maybe i'm just desensitized- but i just didn't get it.

There are documented exorcisms. The Exorcist was also loosely based on a true account. If you were being sarcastic, please disregard this post... smile

I refuse to see the remakes first. I love Japanese Horror. I watched Ju-On(spell?) first before going to see the Grudge. I also watched both Ringu's before sing THE RING. A really great movie was THE EYE. It's out on DVD. I'm sure we're trying to remake that soon.
