Sometimes I hate being a DJ/Promoter! Why is it I am the most level headed person in my crew?

We are doing this benefit for Katrina Victims. It turmns out that the cost of the flyers is upon our crew...at a time when our crew is a little short on cash...until this weekend. And schedules are so tight that that is putting way too off...the Event is Sept 24. It seems as though to do it would be tight for any of us.

Now I normally pony up the cash and have others pay me back, but this time my partner asked that I not step up as we are on a tight budget (I just bought flyers for a Prince party I am throwing). There is anothey guy who is out of a job and also has ponyed up money before...without even asking for reimbursement. We were both hoping that one of the others would step up and take the hit this time (It's not like we have time to get together and pool our cash for deposit into anothers account). No one did. My friend and I decided to ask our partners if we could use thiier credit card or at least get permission to do this. My partner said we could do it. Before I could send an email...my friend sent a blistering email out to everyone about this...Now shit is hitting the fan all over the place.

GRRR.

I am so avaioding the round of emails going back and forth between my friends...it's getting ugly. ANd I don't know what to do to keep the peace. Stuff is coming out in these emails...that seem pent up...and we all know how personal emails can be. I don't want this to destroy my crew....nor what I have spent the last few years building.
