Why do you say sometimes?

I don't know, I guess it depends on my mood. It's probably not a belief in ghosts in the traditional sense, more like that energy has to go somewhere, it can't just dissappear.

That's what I say too! biggrin

But yes I believe in ghosts. I have one in my house. We call him/her/it/them Fred.My brother named it that because of the movie "Drop Dead Fred" when we were little.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I have volumes and volumes of ghost stories passed down from my parents. My house is about 94 years old. My mother died in the bedroom where I now sleep. I haven't felt her here but I always feel her in our kitchen and dining room. I think she is at peace though.

I'm sort of sensitive to certain things. I can go into a house and feel if there is any kind of ghost activity. My ex roommate can actually see people that have passed. The thing is, he doesn't see them as "misty" apparations. He says when they come to him they look solid. He's freaked out a couple of people by describing their loved ones, usually standing right next to them. He freaked out his ex-boyfriends family once when he told his ex's grandmother that her husband was standing right next to her in a blue suit and hat. She told him that she knew he was there and that he had been buried in his favorite blue suit.

It depends. When my door in my house opens or closes out of no where, I say "it's a ghost, there's ghosts in this house", just 2 scare people. I dont know if I really believe in them though. My brother does, he believes in a lot of crazy shit, Aliens and what not. In some situations I think they R some out there. I haven't came in contact with 1 though.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

i think they are just lost souls hangin out.... not really dangerous, just lost.

I agree...that's why I posted that short poem after my post...I do believe they are "victims of love," kept on earth because someone can't let them go...or they can't let go of something.

I don't know, what I must believe or not.
Ones I saw someone talking with a ghost with an Ouija board:

I was very scared, I never want 2 play with the board! brrrrr
Or maybe you all do it by yourself, your own energy, aura or something.

That's incredible! It's interesting how some people are more perceptive to seeing/feeling apparitions than others...your friend would be a great medium to those who have lost loved ones.

I played this game in the basement of my friend's house when we were younger. Our hands would shake and barely touch the marker. One day we were playing it and we received a "message" from some woman...I forget the name now...I think all we got was the first name and some weird stuff that didn't make sense to us, so we quit. We played other board games, then later went upstairs for lunch. My friend's mom asked her daughter what we'd been playing, etc...she told her we'd been messing with the ouija board. She jokingly asked who we'd been talking to. My friend said the name and the mom turned pale. She said that the person had been dead for many years, and had lived down the street. Now, I don't know if that woman was fucking with us, but she sure seemed scared. And in my young, childish, perceptive little way, I knew something was fucking freaky. I never played that game again.

Having moved on from the topics of ghosts (which I do NOT believe in) to the topic of the Ouiji board, I think it is important to stress that it is not a game. People don't take it seriously and then spend the rest of their lives freaked out by an experience they had with it. Ouiji boards should especially not be left around for children to play with (previous stories as exhibit A).

Pretty much, it was a demon that was playing mind games with you & your friend.

Ouija Boards are dangerous because they're a communication link between us (humans) and them (demons).

I have seen 2 different ghosts in my bedroom but this was the freakiest thing that ever happened to me.

I used to go with this girl and one time her mother had a spritualist in the house to do readings for her and her friends. One of her mothers friends had had to pull out so her mother asked me if i wanted to go instead.I had always been intersted in that kind of thing so i jumped at the chance. The lady told me a lot of things that she couldnt have possibly known and a few "spirits" tried to talk to me through her. Some i knew who they were but a couple i couldnt place.
It was after that meeting that things started to get strange.
I was lying in my bed one night reading a book when i started to hear breathing in my room eek .. clear as you like i could hear the inhale and exhale. You could say it was kind of exagerated breathing, like a prank phonecall type of thing.I wasnt scared though because at first i thought it may be one of my friends at my bedroom window(my bedroom was on the ground floor)so i got up and opened my curtains and there was no-one there and my windows were shut.
It was then i started getting freaked because i could still hear the breathing.
I ended up going back to my bed and i put on music just loud enough so i couldnt hear the breathing. After about an hour i switched the music and the breathing had stopped, but i put the music back on and fell asleep with the light on just incase.

Then after that i woke up one night and there was someone leaning over the top of me.I couldnt really make out much of their features but i could see that he was smiling at me.I just lifted my covers up over my head and i lay there physically shaking. The second time i saw someone they were standing in the same place but this time he wasnt leaning over me,but i did the exact same thing again, covers up over my head.

I told my dad what i had expierenced and instead of telling me not to be so stupid,as i was half expecting, he said "thats what yo get for going to they bloody fortune-tellers".
I have never had anything happen to me since but i look back now thinking it was quite cool albeit very weird.

WHOA!! I never see. Sometimez i hear hmm ...like one evening i came home from work, and all the lightz were off, and all of a sudden i hear this doggy sneeze- like my old dog Tommy. Identical. I called out 'hello?'...nothing. I was like hmmm ...then shrug The following evening, it was my old friend'z birthday, and her mum gave us a lift home from a bar we all went 2. So (keeping in mind my dog died June 3 1999 just after 1pm i will never forget hmph! )...she askz 'so how is Tommy?'...now i've alwayz had very abstract/spiritual conversationz with her, but i was incredibly confused. I was like 'uhhhh..?'...and then she went on 2 say 'oh no, it'z just dat you used to feel Tommy's presence when he first passed on, just thought i'd ask.' I was like omfg 'i heard his SNEEZE yesterday!'boxed It was a strangely uplifting moment though- i wasnt freaked out- i felt kinda nice. Can't explain it. hmmm

I sooo believe in ghost and spirits..

I've been ghost hunting in an old 1850 prison for men...~fun~

I would love to have a nice spirit in my home...only nice tho..I've seen stories of bad ones...I'd think it would be comforting knowing someone was watching over my home..

I've also lost a friend of mine that I had know for a short while and I truely believe that she followed me around for a few weeks...things would be knocked over while I'm standing there not moving..my daughter once asked me who that nice lady was...
I wanted to cry and hug her..and my friend..

hug I'm sorry for your loss. After my cousin passed, I had a very strange experience about six months later. I was incredibly depressed and lonely, and crying myself to sleep for many nights because of certain circumstances. One night I woke up from a bad sleep, and I sat up, and I swear I saw him sitting on my bed. He told me it would all be alright and that he's okay now, and that things would improve in my life. I had never had a chance to say goodbye to him and I think it was his way of coming through to me. I mean, I remember feeling the softness of my blankets, the pillows behind me, everything. And shortly after that night, I did feel much better. I'll never forget how real that was.

I'd be way too freaked out to do any ghost hunting! That must have been surreal, as if you were in a horror movie or something!

this is a story about my local pub which featured in The Sunday Mail.

A PUB boss has called in ghostbusters after barmaids complained their bums were being pinched - by a randy poltergeist.

The phantom menace has been terrorising staff at the Castleview in Dundonald, Ayrshire, near the village's haunted castle.

Waitress Tiffany Luxton, 18, said: 'I won't even go to the toilet on my own because I'm scared he'll be there.

'It's as if you're being stalked. You feel him brushing past you and touching you. It's really quite scary. You can hear footsteps but there is nobody there.'

Fed-up pub boss Terry Quinn says the only spirits he wants are the usual whisky, gin and vodka. He has called in the team of paranormal investigators who carried out a study at Dundonald Castle.

Terry, 49 said: 'I'm not normally a believer in ghost stuff but there have been so many strange things happening here I'm convinced we are haunted.

'Waitresses and barmaids have felt themselves being touched up and when they look round no one is there and staff in the kitchen heard noises and footsteps. They thought there was an intruder but when I ran in no one was there.

'Twelve huge water jugs sitting on a solid wooden gantry all flew off the shelf at once and smashed and the CO2 that powers the beer lines just turns itself off. What's going on is a mystery.

'Even I get a shiver when I go down to the cellar these days because you're half expecting to see something down there with you.'

The Dunfermline Paranormal Research Fellowship, who say they found evidence that Dundonald Castle is haunted, will examine the pub in the New Year. Team leader Raymond Crannage said: 'According to staff at the Castleview things are worse since alterations were made to the inside of the pub.

'I think this presence could possibly be that of a former owner.'
