And damn, it was hard work. lol.
A friend of mine is running for Mpls library board. It's one of those offices you see on the ballot but you never know anything about so you don't ever vote for it. So he had a leaflet party at another friends house and he got me to agree to help in a drunken moment the other evening. I figured we'd hand them out on a block or 2 and that would be it. No siree. I was walking for 3 hours in the noon sun in one of the hilliest neighborhoods in Minneapolis. Every other block was on a hill so I probably climbed about 5000 stairs today to shove a leaflet under a door handle. And a dog jumped the fence and ran out barking at me.

But it was fun and the folks we ran into in the neighborhood were all very nice. It was a good day.

Has anyone worked on a campaign before? Or run for public office?

Someday I plan on being the mayor of Oakdale. I just asked Amy the other if she would someday be interested in being the first lady of Oakdale

Yeah, I've been meaning to get more involved over the last few years and this was an easy way to do it cause it's for a friend. I just gotta keep it up now.
