Some cheesy pics from my NYC trip...

the fountain in the courtyard where my best friend lives. it was purty, and i've had a thing about taking pictures of fountains this summer, so there's another one.

window of beauty bar @ 14th street in the village.

a hidden-away piece of the west village, found when we took a short-cut on minetta lane after falafels at ali baba's and a long day of terrorizing greenwich village's finest wrecka stows...

You should have put those pics under your bike and rolled over them

you dont need those pics or their stupid contents, all you need is focus and a better camera

nice. i didn't go that far north, because i get nosebleeds if i go too far above 14th street...though we did go to the guggenheim on my last day to see the new mapplethorpe exhibit. my best friend works there and got us in free, AND one of the mapplethorpe postcards in the giftshop was chosen because my friend knew i'd love it, so she suggested to the giftshop folk that they sell it...and they did! touched

probably not a true story, but it sounded good when she told it. lol

You must have lived in New York for a while. Me and Amy are always laughing about how people in New York always say things like "I get noseblleds if I go too far above 14th street".

I have a real good friend from high school who is an attorney in New York and he is always referencing streets he won't go above and below big grin

heh heh, yeah - i was there for six years before i moved to chicago in 2001. i was definitely an east village brat, even after i moved out of e.vill to brooklyn. i really enjoyed living in williamsburg and park slope, but whenever i wanted to go drinking, record shopping, or whatevers, i'd always head for the village. i spent more time in tompkins square park than i ever did in central park, though the times i went to central park were always great fun.

confuse Park Slope and no Prospect Park?

I went to Stuyvesant H.S. when it was on East 15th Street.
Spent a lot of time traipsing up to the Fillmore East to get show tickets. sigh

actually, technically speaking, i lived in prospect park west. i lived just a block or so from the park. unfortunately, while i was living in that area, there was a nasty habit of gay men getting attacked and murdered in that park, so i figured maybe i should steer queer of that space. no gay-knots for me!
