Good move. Glad you stayed safe. tA France countdown - T-Minus 2 days and counting. Tribal Disorder
http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm it was scary, even just coming home from work at night. fortunately it's a generally safe neighborhood, and our downstairs neighbor was a cop. still and all, i took great care to stay safe out there.

Yes, nothing quite compares to the scent of New York after baking garbage on the sidewalks for 10+ days in 90 degree temperatures. Don't get me wrong, I dig New York, but as the saying goes, "the grass is always greener..." The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

if you're an NYC ex-pat, i'm sure you understand. I do really miss it, but I could only live there again if I could afford to be one of those Dakota livin' muthas. But never, ever again during the winter. tA France countdown - T-Minus 2 days and counting. Tribal Disorder

Yes...New York is much more fun if you're rich (I'm guessing b/c I'm not monetarily rich.) I actually prefer the cold winters (even though they're weak compared to Chicago's)...but damn, I hate the summer humidity! I didn't realize NYC in the summer is really the south weather-wise! But I know if I ever move I'll miss it... The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found.
