Yes, I am actually getting some but it depends on whether the insurance is going to cover the cost.

Is this for cosmetic or health reasons?

Eh, well here's the story. I split my chin open at a swimming pool when I was 7, that was 12 years ago. I have had a scar on my chin that looks like a bump and it hasn't really gone down. Some of the doctors said that some scars think that they just heal that way but my dad thinks that it was someone who did a bad job of stiching me up. My mom said that the insurance will cover it because it was an accident but we will just have to see.

Oooh, I just had some removed and they didn't even numb it! Just snipped them off with little nail scissors! I have had others removed, though, where they cut them out. Neither one hurt too much. The injection, to numb the ones that had to be cut out, hurt the most.

I had to get that done too. It took several damn weeks for the wounds to heal and they left scars. Then when I got back to have the stitches removed, they told me that they had to cut off a bit more of the skin around. The memories of many childhood days in the sunshine suddenly didn't feel quite the same anymore. neutral

When I had insurance, all I had to pay was my co-pay. I just went to my regular doctor and they did it there. The ones without insurance, they gave me a break... this last time he just charged me an office visit, but the normal cost for multiple removal was around $200 (the ones they snipped off).

I'm going back in a few weeks to have two cut out and he's going to charge me for an office visit, for each one, but then you have lab costs to pay because they are required to send them in to see if they're cancerous or not. Not sure how much that runs.

SPF, baby! It worries me because I was one of those people, in the 80's, that used baby oil and would lay on a metalic pad to really toast myself good!

I miss those days!
