And just cuaes the Louvre has Venis De Milo, Mona Lisa, and The Last Super, along with being the largest art museum in the world, doesn't mean it has nearly half the culture of Disney's Epcot Center here in Orlando. neutral

hmmm You might actually have a point there. hmmm

Nat, first of all, have a safe, wonderful trip!

While you're there, you DEFINITELY need to see Le Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame. nod If you can manage, visit during a mass. I'm not sure that you'll be able to take photos during the services, but the opportunity to experience religious ritual in a place where others have done the same for hundreds and hundreds of years is incredible. And don't just be a tourist -- light a candle. Pray. Take in an organ concerto. In those big, cavernous sanctuaries, the music, song and candlelight just reverberates -- there's nothing like it in the world!!

When you visit Le Sacre Coeur, be sure to rove around Montmatre. It's an almost stereotypically "Frenchy" place -- full of bohemian artists (who'll draw your portrait right there!), little cafes (the Lapin Agile is there!), mimes and performing gypsies. Right up your alley, there are a couple places where you can get some great Tarot cards around there. (I got a 24-carat gold Salvador Dali deck there once that I ended up giving to Madartista).

Also, if you visit the Moulin Rouge, there is a decent museum of erotica a few doors down. That whole district of the city -- Pigalle -- is pretty seedy, but the museum is rather tasteful.

Enjoy your trip. You'll love it!!!

...And bring me back a Le Coq Sportif T-shirt.

well I'm back at work now... it was such an amazing weekend!!! Paris is, as I said, the most beautiful city I've ever seen

Those of you who haven't been to this wonderful place should try and do so at least once... it's somewhere I think every single person should try and see at least once in your life nod I can't say it any better than that worship

Saturday morning got in really early and went straight to the Eiffel Tower...amazing!! it's very deceptive how big it is! I had breakfast up there too... after checking into my hotel and getting freshened up I met MarySharon on the Champs-elysee and we had lunch then she took me out to check out La Defense... then we went to Pere Lachaise cemetary where we met up with JizzinParis for a couple of hours we saw Jim Morrisons grave pray MarySharon and I then made our way back into the heart of the city for something to eat then we went back to her place before going to see a Prince cover band. I didn't stay that long because I was shattered by this time...

Sunday morning I got up early and went to the Louvre!! woot! saw the Mona Lisa, Venus De Milo among many MANY other beautiful artworks... you truly have no perspective of the size of the place until you're there it's absolutely MASSIVE and you need a week there to look through everything no exaduration at all I swear... then I met with MarySharon and again had lunch on the Champs-elysee and made our way past St Michel fountain to Notre Dame...omg it's beautiful in there! I'm not religeous but this was just awe-inspiring worship it has in there one of the most beautiful sculptures I've ever seen! I had a light a candle too... then we went to the Luxembourg Gardens and walked over to the Pantheon but didn't go inside

after that we made our way over to Monmatre - OH MY GOD it's beautiful there!! Sacre Coer for starters worship amazing!! we walked around Monmatre and had a drink up there then came back down and saw the Moulin Rouge! woot! after that we went back to the Eiffel Tower and Champs-elysee to get night shots...we made our seperate ways then (poor MarySharon was as exhausted as I was and had to work early the next morning too sad)

yesterday morning I got up early again and had breakfast on the champs-elysee and then went for one last look around the Eiffel Tower sad ...went to see the Place de Bastille and then by that time had to make my way to get the coach back home...

an amazing weekend...thank you SO MUCH MarySharon for being a great tour guide it was such a pleasure spending time with you and finally meeting you hug and thank you Jizz for meeting with us it was great to finally meet you! hope you had a good flight hug

the only thing is I didn't get to meet theAudience sad if you see this I'm so sorry we couldn't get in contact and meet up... I ran out of credit way quicker than I thought I would and that's why you couldn't get through cry I'm so sorry hug

musee dorsay is amazing! the louvre is cool but versailles is better. and notre dame - the climb to the top is difficult but worth it for the view and gargoyles. I got pickpocketed in the bathroom and lost my passport, travelers cheques, bankcards, IDs... what a mess. disbelief
