Don't worry about it. I married the only woman I've ever made love to. In the long run the solid, happy marriage is the real gravy.

Well you wouldn't know, since you have no means to make a comparison. wink

Right! It looks good and everything, but if it weren't there it's not like you couldn't imagine what it would be like anyway, and ultimately it only serves a very brief and superficial purpose.

lol

And how could you ever know by that scientific means of trying everything out in order to make an informed decision? Marry 20 times? Have casual sex a thousand times? Have fifty threesomes? Bondage? How many experiences would you need to make an informed decision? Perhaps instincts and intuition would be just as helpful (and perhaps just as limited).

Nah, just one occasion of sex besides marital sex is infinitely more than zero times, so I'd call that enough. Not for any "scientific" purpose (who said anything about that?), but definitely for being able to make some kind of comparison.

For scientific purposes there are far too many variables for a comparison anyway. Sex with love vs sex without = not the same thing.

It's scientific by way of doing the two and making a comparison, rather than just guessing, which is basically what I'm doing. Of course, it's hardly guessing since it's not like I can't imagine quite easily the sex outside of marriage and what it would be like. Furthermore, one occasion would be a very limited experience anyway, hence my saying how many times would you really need to have the different experiences to really be objective? Too many, and that's where instincts come in for all of us. Ultimately I think something is gained and lost in both situations. It's a nice feeling to know you've never slept with anyone besides your wife, but as Gotta is wondering there may be some things that have been missed out on. For me, the first outweighs the second overwhelmingly because those things I may have missed out on are fairly easy to conceive of anyway. It's not like I'm missing out on some mysterious, phantasmagorical experience of which I have no grasp or understanding.

You don't truly know the things you haven't experienced. That even applies to little things that you'd think you had all figured out. Like driving a car. It doesn't matter how many times you've been in the passenger seat, it's another issue altogether to sit behind the wheel. Life is funny that way. However, this doesn't mean that we should try absolutely everything once. We make decisions and should stick with them until we feel the need to decide on something else. So I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being a casual sex virgin. You've made your decision and that's fine (and even more so if you don't desire anything else), but don't pretend to have knowledge that you don't. Or maybe you should. It might help you sleep at night. razz

Oh, it does. nod

razz Point taken. Of course, I did have sex (albeit with my now wife) before I was married, so there's your one experience necessary to make a comparison. Ok, maybe not. lol

p.s. I'm not sure I ever chose to be a casual sex virgin. I just never got laid. falloff I put it down to shyness. I don't cry that way. sad

The best kind of 3some is one where you aren't romantically involved with either of the other parties. I wouldn't suggest a threesome now that you're married. It's not likely to produce anything productive in your relationship.

What he said.

I've twice been involved in 3somes. Both times were MFF just with friends. Everything was all good and there haven't been any regrets. I wouldn't do it now that I'm in a relationship, unless my boyfriend wasn't involved but was okay with the idea. Like you said, romantic attachments can make things messy.

Trying to talk the fella into letting me watch him and another guy though. biggrin

I never had a threesome either.

However, I've been in a 5-person drunken sex type thing. The sex wasn't the best part (we were all drunk, so how impressive could it be?). The best part was lying in the dark with five naked people giggling and listening to Eddie Brickel. giggle

youth is so stupid.

It really depends on what your sexual desires and fantasies are. If you are sexually advanced or experienced where you wish to have this scenario take place, then I suggest you give it a try. You are here to facilitate the life you choose to lead, not question things to the point of talking yourself out of what you are curious about. If you find you did not like the experience, then you have tried it, and now simply move on in your journey.

What's next??? Now go do it!

in this case it's more a case of sitting behind the wheel of your own car wondering what it is like to drive another. You're still driving. rolleyes

Not only a famous threesome but also a visual illustration of how silly any threesome featuring me would probably be.
