JEM appreciation thread I'm watching I love the 80s -1985 - for the upteemth time and they're doing a segment on the cartoon JEM..."TRULY OUTRAGEOUS!" i was 10 when this came out and I wanted to rock out like Jem and be able to switch to Jerrica, the alter ego.

i loved jem!
my old roommate's uncle is the guy who drew the jem cartoons. she had a few stills (forgive me, i forget the technical term for cartoon stills) framed in her room. sadly, the guy - her uncle - just suffered a very serious stroke not long ago. he is an incredibly talented artist. he also did the cartoon version of punky brewster (which was modeled after that roommate). kinda weird since one of my first crushes was soliel moon frye. its funny i ended up living with her cartoon counterpart!
