What things do you collect?

hmmm

What do you have a passion for that you love to collect, how big is your collection of whatever it is, when did you start it and why?

music, first and foremost. i take great pride in organizing and taking care of my music collection. i'm in the middle of filing and organizing all my "rare" CDs by prince, bowie and other artists and i hope to create a little database just to be extra anal. geek

to a lesser extent, i collect books and DVDs, but not as passionately as i collect music.

Books and picture frames.

I have to admit that I don't keep all books anymore simply because I just don't have the room, but I do have all my favs and about 300 more!

I have about 50 picture frames in my home all with photos of my friends and family. Some are quite unique and some I've bought on my travels.

I'm definitely a sucker for books and frames.

nod

That's why i ride my bike whenever i can. lol

You think the city would have more sympathy for college students, i mean, you'd think that they'd go easier on a expired meter. Shit, the other day missed pumping more quarters into the meter by 10 mins and already had a 20 fucking dollar ticket on my windshield. mad

WTF, i could've parked there all day and it wouldn't have added up to that amount. And if i would've known i was gonna get a parking ticket, i wouldn't have put money into the meter in the first place. neutral

I'm truly not much of a collector, at least nothing I get passionate about. But I have lots of little collections. I've got my fair share of books, CDs and movies but I'm never one to own EVERYTHING by any particular artist or writer. I've got lots of shoes and purses, but I can go months without picking up a new pair or bag. And I tend to rotate between things. I'll buy nothing but books for months, then nothing but purses, then just look for shoes, etc. That's about it. smile

I know....I had started paying attention to when they check the meters and just put enough quarters in to get by just for when they actually check them. It kills me too when I've already put an assload of quarters in the meter and still end up with a ticket....that's the worst. Since parking is a problem here (meters and lack of spaces), a bike would be better, because people on bikes end up getting to class before people driving since it takes them 15-20 minutes just to find a parking space. omg That's so stupid to put a campus smack dab in the middle of the city.

I don't collect anything anymore. My ultimate ambition is to be living in a room that contains nothing but a bed and a TV, wearing a white robe every day.

One's obsidian like the one in the pic, one's made out of concrete biggrin one's pearl studded from Romania, one my friend Åsa found on a beach in Greece. I love my eggs!
