Craving it, actually...thanks to Mach's pie thread.

A nice, thick, sweet, warm slice of pumpkin pie, with homemade cream on top...






What are you craving...anything??...

I hate pie...pie is gross.

The crust just gets to me, all flaky and dry in your mouth...uuuuhhhhhf...*shudders*



But sometimes I just eat the middle out and leave the evil crust... but pumpkin pie...ick...I won't touch that stuff.

I love pie. This is the season to begin craving pie...especially pumpkin pie.

This thread is probably ill timed. It would have made a decent Thanksgiving day thread, during which time most orgers don't log on anyways.

I've had a craving for stuffed green peppers something fierce. I'm going to have to go buy the ingredients and some veggie crumbles and go to town, I think.

I don't use meat, of course, but you can go to the grocery and buy the veggie crumbles... imitation ground up cow, and use that. That, some rice and whatever else, and then you prepare for a fiesta in your face!

I make chilli for myself the same way.

Other bakeries relied on cottage cheese. According to legend, he was served a cheese pie in a private home, and he fell in love with the dessert. Using his hostess’ recipe and a pie she made with ingredients he provided, he then began to develop his own recipe for the perfect cheesecake. Reuben soon began to serve his new recipe in his Turf Restaurant, and the cheesecake quickly became very popular with the people who frequented Reuben’s Broadway restaurant.
