What ever happened to Stacey Dash?


From the Hollywood Reporter comes the news that Stacey Dash has landed what looks like her first major big-screen role in the decade since Clueless. In fact, she's working with Clueless director Amy Heckerling and costar Paul Rudd in the movie, called I Could Never Be Your Woman. Alas, it's just a supporting role for Dash; the film is a romantic comedy focusing on a couple played by Rudd and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Still, Dash shines in supporting roles; she certainly stole hearts in both the film and TV versions of Clueless, where she played teenager Dionne until well into her 30s. Hard to believe, but she's 39 now, according to the Internet Movie Database, and harder still to believe that she's barely been heard from since the sitcom went off the air in 1999. (Yes, there's a bunch of TV guest spots and straight-to-video movies on her IMDb list, but not much else. And I'm not counting View From the Top, the Gwyneth Paltrow stewardess movie that even Paltrow disavowed.) Apparently, she's also been doing some work for her cousin, Damon Dash, like modeling clothes for his Rocawear line. She also popped up in in the Kanye West video for ''All Falls Down.''

Good for Heckerling for hiring Dash again, but can't someone give Dash the starring role she deserves in a high-profile project?

well,i like her and think she looks great 4 her age.She may have been in somethin more recent but she was in Kanye West's video "all falls down" and she looked like she was his age not no 39!!!
I cant believe that PRETTY girl is Damon Dash's cousin.

Stacey is one of those women who's looked youthful for so long it's easy to forget that she is a mature woman. She's been around forever and literally does not seem to age at all.

She also works (or at least use to) for Rocafella records as a producer or something.


Damon Dash

ur rite hes not that bad lookin,its just they way he was actin when he was on 106 and park...maybe he was havin a bad day but he was actin real nasty.

Stacey hasn't been on the screen in a while, but she works for Damon. She also has a teenage son, Austin, with singer Christopher Williams....who just so happens to be a distant cousin

Anyway, i remember her in damon wayan's "mo money" movie back in 1992. One of my all time fav movies. She was hot in that. So cute too.

Stacey looks ver cute and I been a fans of her since she was with Damon Wayons in Mo Money. She have those pretty eyes too. Seems like the sistas of 66 ( the ones born 1966) Stacey, Hallie Berry, Rachel True (of Craft with Neve Campbell and also now plays on UPN Half and Half), and Janet Jackson looks very good for their ages. They all going to be forty next year and from the way they all look naturally it look as they all going to be twenty five!

they did look great for 40 though....i remember my grandma in her early fourties and she looked like a grandma even then...

I think that her character on Half and Half can get annoy at time that I just want to say Enough already but at least she is still working regularly especially at a time when 40 plus actors receiving lesser work. She looks so young for her age that I thought IMDB was lying when it stated she was born 1966. She had lied about her age couple times of being five year younger especually in her earlier career. Can you believed that she was nearly thirty and the oldest cast member on the Craft but yet she was playing a high school character?
