Get an EDUCATION watch Freaky Films.... I was watching some OBSCURE FILMS as ONLY I ZEL would.. Check out 200 Motels..Ringo Starr plays Zappa, Lost Boys, ValleyGirl, Doctor Detroit, Nijinsky. That's basically how I feel about it too - Pasolini may have been a sick, twisted freak, but he knew what he wanted to say and had the ability to articulate it...I can't deny that the fact that I own a copy of this occasionally makes me feel a little dirty. Definitely not something I trot out at family reunions. | |

Supposedly the British Film Institute's release is much better (and also includes a documentary), but it remains unseen by me. i guess it's not available on netflix, huh. the rarest criterion thing i have is altman's '3 women', which isn't rare yet, but i'm very sure it will be. i know like maybe two people who know what it is, and only one of those two really appreciate it. of course, i don't think you should ever sell your copy of 'salo' if it's a movie you appreciate. not that this is a rare DVD at all, but they're going to have to pry my copy of 'grey gardens' out of my cold, dead hands. better yet, maybe i'll ask that my copy be cremated along with me.... | |

Some people think it's vile, some think it's profound, but I don't think there were many who were indifferent.
